This second gen S10 tonneau cover has been stored away in a barn for over 20 years! It wasn't made for a first gen S10, but let's see if we can make this Custom Form bed cover fit the DeathTrap!

Long story short: it can be made to fit. And that's what counts! "If it's free, it's for me" 🧡 it!

@@wrongwaygarage It was a similar story from my granny. Depression-era-raised woman who never needed to hire a weekly trash service. She kept everything + grew food in her back yard until her final days. I'm starting to wonder if we're all about to learn the same lessons of thriftiness that she & her generation did.

Thanks! Didn’t turn out too bad for an almost antique cover that wasn’t designed to go on the truck! 😂

It looks like it fit good in the video. I past on some caps and covers that where in junkyard cause i didn't think it would fit or look right

Thanks! I think it turned out nice. If I had the money, I’d be gathering everything I could get at the junkyard!!!

Did you figure out those levers on the front and back rails loosen or tighten the cover once it's on?
@wrongwaygarage2 жыл бұрын
Nope. Never figured it out. They slide side to side, but don’t have an obvious purpose. The bows go side to side, but these are on the front and rear. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Jason_Bacon2 жыл бұрын
@@wrongwaygarage that thin aluminum strap is enough to pull the front and back rails to adjust the tension on the cover itself, fore and aft. On my old one, they were levers that you turned similar to the clamps that hold the rails down. Yours they may slid to the bed sides to add tension.
@wrongwaygarage2 жыл бұрын
@@Jason_Bacon that’s quite possible. I couldn’t find anything online about the brand. Was hoping to get instructions online, but no such luck. The cover seems tight enough at the moment, but if it gets slack after the first rain, I’ll definitely try adjusting it with that concept! That would be way better than using the bows in my opinion. 👍🏻
