Putting the free play button through the keyhole is so awesome! I dislike it when I see new holes drilled into cabinets for a free play button or those big lockdown bars that hold the coin door back with an extra pad lock.

Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your videos. Especially when you give history on the companies that made the game. When I get a game to restore I relate to your videos to see what all you have done to that particular game. For instance - I have got this game 'Spy Hunter' that I have now got fully working and looks like your restoration. Chrome trim and all. :) Please keep posting!

We had this in our pub in the UK, I think it was around 1986. Before we'd open and I have to disappear upstairs (I was 13) I'd be dumping 10p's in this thing like crazy.

I picked this bad boy up for $300 about 6-7 years ago. Great game, but boy, does it like to fling the ball into the glass.

It is a nice touch.

Yea, I have done that already. My cheap squeak LED is constantly lit. Which leads me to believe its a voltage or wiring issue. The game plays every sound and the lower noted theme, but not the upper theme when you initiate the first ball. Any ideas or possible trouble shooting would be much appreciated. Thanks for your support so far.

Yes...easy to fix...as long as the battery on the logic board is good...because when game is turned off, the battery keeps the proper sound setting in place...otherwise it defaults to almost no sound. Press red button inside coin door until the credit window says 18. First player window will say 0 probably. Press the START button until it says 3. THEN, continue to press the little red button until the game resets...and then you will have full sound again (until battery fials). Todd

Welp, I seem to have screwed up my pop bumper when performing some bulb replacement and a solder on a flipper wire. Dang thing (the pop bumper) fires occasionally when using the flippers, and it's not the gap in the bumper switch. I re-soldered the wire on the flipper a little farther away from the second wire that was also connected there hoping I had just stuck them too close together, but no dice. The only other thing I had monkeyed with was related to changing out bulbs under the playfield. In order to access them, I had to pull a few staples partway out on what I assume is a ground wire that runs all over creation. I made sure to get the staples pushed back into place so there weren't any gaps, but that didn't help either. What sucks the most is that if I want to get it fixed, the closest repair shop is going to cost me almost $190 just to come out. (a buck a mile for a 66 mile round trip plus 118 base charge) I don't know electronics, if you can't tell. I'm probably stuck with a minor annoyance or a couple hundred bucks minimum repair. Anyone have any ideas they'd be kind enough to share?

A bunch of my videos show one important thing you MUST do to all Bally And Stern poo bumpers using the 1977 to 1984 system. There is a little green or tan capacitor that jumps over the switch under the pop bumper to make it more sensitive. It has now dried out and caused your pop bumper switch to stay closed. Simply break it off. The pop.bunper will work fine again. That same capacitor is on the side of the machine connected to the tilt bob and causes oddball tilts. Remove that also...they are really unneeded! If this works, you must send me a pound of.medium roast coffee beans a regular flavor, no exotic stuff!
@rafetizer3 жыл бұрын
@@tntamusements "coffee beans of a regular flavor" lmao. Thanks, I'll check out your video and see about locating some coffee

@@tntamusements I clipped the green cap and still got the problem. I clipped the smaller cylindrical cap lookin thing after that, which caused the bumper to stop working altogether. I soldered both back onto the switch so it's working again, but still getting that occasional activation when using a flipper. It's rather puzzling, but I feel it about _has_ to be related to the work I just did on it because it wasn't doing that before. I had replaced the bulb inside the thumper, and there was a LOT of wiggling and pulling on the socket before I learned the old shooter tip as a bulb puller trick and got the old 555 out. I wonder if that screwed something up in there. At the very least, it works normally, just fires once in a great while during play. (a few extra points never hurt anyone, right?) Thanks for the assistance, nonetheless!

My theme music only play the bass part but never the "horns" if you understand what i mean.Sound setting 18 is on 3 so it should play the full theme .Any idea whats the cause??
had same problem, but changed setting 19 and 20 to 3

My theme music doesn't play. Is that a setting possibly? Where does one get all LED bulbs for these? Does anyone make new flippers or band kits? Thx
@tntamusements9 жыл бұрын
+Mark Spencer The sound setting is level 18...and it has to be set on 3 for full correct sounds....its in the book...you step through the settings...BUT if battery is bad, you will lose the settings when game is turned off

Is it possible to stick one of the really fat post rubbers on that left lower outlane to make it more fair, but not completely block it off? Could be a good opportunity to learn good nudging skills.
