termite train!! I love that foliage :) you got some nice industry structures. the replica of your Granddad's house sounds like a cool idea. Anthony it was very nice to see some of the spots on the layout that you rarely show! the layout is kinda huge. that pond sure came out nice with the reflection of the foliage in the water. Nice vid and take care man :)

Anthony thanks for the "reality" video for many of us. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to think of everything that needs to be done. I just try to do a little bit at a time. Sometimes that yields more motivation and sometimes it does not. I also have to remember that these projects are what keeps the hobby interesting. If you finish, then what? Also, this is a good time to take in all the wonderful ideas we see on other people's layouts and try to mimic some of it to fit our own. Thanks for sharing your plan. I really like that big factory around 4:28 and your scenery around 6:48. I regularly envy the choices there are in HO scale. Keep us posted on your progress.

Anthony, Well done overview of your upcoming projects. I agree with you about the seeming shortage of certain scenic items. I had been looking for the two lighter shades of shrubbery from Woodland Scenics for quite a while until I saw some in a tour done by Mike Fifer of his store's back stock. I immediately ordered some. Have fun....John

hi Anthony... before you move the industry .. try this... put a few bushes along side the cars.. gently rubbing on them or put a bush between the rail tall enough to touch the axle.. that should keep the cars from rolling...so far your scenery looks good... i have a couple of dry river beds also...i like the idea of putting your grandpa's house on the layout.. cool update.. thx 4 sharing ... vinny

Termite trains, that's RICH. Don't feel like the long ranger, I had a couple spots that I just look at with great intentions and then do something diffeent. Glad you had a good time in Colorado. I did also, Michelle is a super great lady.

Anthony nice review. on the track that you showed the hopper car rolls i have some siding on an incline I got truck brakes the clip on the track to keep the cars from rolling down just a thought

feel the pain of an on-a-grade industry. i had the same issue and at first i made this little stoppers to hold the cars, which was a pain, then i totally rebuilt the scene. moving the industry seems like a nice option - will make that area look like a super industrial park; looking forward to seeing that progress. fortunately, I haven't had any issues getting scenery material but signals - i can't find any decent signals for N-scale that don't look like toys. not sure if that's a supply chain issue or if there's just no one making them.

I was wondering if they use wood chips in the Northeast to help with heating in the winter time. So much you might see loads of wood chips in rail (hoppers) cars?
