Hi! Thanks for asking. The word "Adventist" comes from "Advent," referring to the Second Advent, or Second Coming, of Jesus. Adventists are people who believe (as many Christians do) that Jesus is coming back to earth again. "Seventh-day" Adventists, are people who believe Jesus is coming again, and who believe in worshipping God on the seventh day of the week (Saturday), as it says in the Ten Commandments and as Jesus did.
