I've never looked into the legacy challenge, and I guess I'm sort of doing that, but with an entire neighborhood? I have a neighborhood I built from scratch, and the little families all have kids that are growing up together. My first batch of kids is getting ready to go to college/enter the workforce. I've got eight kids like that and then seven coming up behind them. I like this way of playing, because a bunch of these kids grew up together and are best friends, and it's cute. I like that they all have life long connections. One day some of them will get married and have children and then I'll be on generation three of my legacy. It's a fun way to play, it feels like a soap opera. If I get tired of one house, I just go play a different house. Mad scientist house? Actor/sports star house? The house with the single mom who builds furniture and her weird kid whose obsessed with fishing? I'll play whoever I want! I think it's interesting to see how other people play The Sims. I feel like we all sort of assume most people play it like we do, but there are so many different styles!

I know this is a base game guide but if you have City Living, you can get a cowplant berry at the Spice Festival when you harvest the plants there. It's where I usually pick up my cowplant berries. The Sylvan Glade is a great place to get them through fishing. I was trying to complete the fish collection recently and I needed a fish that's specifically found in the Glade and my Sim caught four cowplant berries in 10 minutes. By the way the Not-So-Berry challenge isn't Base Game exclusive.

I love your positive attitude about the game. So many point out short comings but you really do see the glass half full with sharing how there really is a lot of details there for players to work with. P.s. I hope the mischief trait computer interactions are in part two. I have a family that makes all their income as a scamming center. They use mischief interactions as well as paint from reference to make knock off art and other non base game options to scam sims out of their simoleans

I kinda wish being a plant sim was a bit more semi-permanent…or treating it like a werewolf/vampire/spellcaster where once you become one, it’s permanent, but you can become human or the supernatural relatively easily

Another really interesting challenge is to play as already existing household but change households every sims week. That way townies are connected more with other sims, have children and have skills rather than growing old and dying. It's fun and has ton of drama in it

Hmmmm, grilled cheese was served at school for lunch today and tonight we are having grilled cheese and bacon..... if I eat too, perhaps I will get the grilled cheese aspiration!

I don't currently play sims 4 (it comes and goes in phases) but I still watch and like all your videos because your content is incredibly high quality and you deserve the attention! X

The museum idea is really nice! I really like this idea of gathering stuff through generations, even tho I haven't put that into practice yet (I forget haha) I think that having your sims build a whole city, say, Newcrest, would be cool too! Even tho you can't own community lots, you can always keep a record of how much was spent to build a lot and then subtract that from your family's funds or something. And oh, the grilled cheese aspiration... I keep forgeting about it! Dang it haha, thanks for reminding me of it's existence

Everyone is saying that the ' Not So Berry' challenge is not compatible with base game (which is true) however, there are rewrites out there that are made to be compatible with base game, and are just as fun! Highly suggest you look into it!

This is awesome! There are very little base game ideas and none of them are as good as yours! This was so interesting and informative, engaging and so much fun to watch! I hope to implement these ideas into my game.

I never really knew what aspirations did lol, I didn't know we could get extra interactions from those. The Sims Team are so lazy at showcasing the actual gameplay possibilities. I don't think there would be much negativity if they made creative lots, interesting and established characters, added more specific tips about aspirations (like if we gave a sim a related trait or job, maybe it should just be automatically matched with an aspiration), so we didn't have to do everything from scratch everytime we start a save and then forget to do things because we forgot they exist lol.

Your game play idea videos are my favorite! They really keep me interested in the game.

Just a fyi The Not So Berry Challange is not base game compatible! It requires careers, traits, and skills from other packs! Great ideas though! c:

Orchids. Plant about 50 ASAP and after a Simweek money will never be an issue, you can hire a gardener and maid after that. If you suck at building you can buy any lot and pretty much any home from other creators and customize it any way you want after a Sim month of selling orchids. Don't even get a job until then, just run around every map collecting and selling random plants and treasures, eat at the park and couch surf at other Sim's houses. Most of my Sims start off homeless and living off the kindness of others, busking with a guitar helps too but they all end up with $9,999,999 in no time at all. Then I build an entire neighbourhood and stock it full of characters from the Gallery and give them full autonomy, goals, the ability to have babies, fix objects, adopt, switch jobs or not, age up or not, die, etc then let them live their best (or not) lives while my Sim finally gets a real job and starts playing the game for themself.

How do we accomplish building a glass sided pool?

You need packs for the not so berry challenge.

Challenge 1: Set Sim lifespan to short and attempt to complete / max out every aspiration, career, and skill. Challenge 2: Live as a bum. Set money to zero, start on an empty lot and you can't build walls or rooms. Live off the land, use public facilities, and good luck getting good sleep.
