Hi! A „Tools for 3d Printing“ video would be really nice!
@3dprintedhardware

Email me, I'll hook you up with my 3d printable tool set which includes hardware tools like an adjustable wrench, pliers and a 12 piece wrench set..standard and metric 👍 I have more tools on the way that will be added to the set, many of which are in the final testing stage right now. Although the tools in the tool set will work best if printed in metal or high temp hardened plastics, they are still fun and even useful around the house if printed in PLA, especially if your using the tools on newer, rust free nuts and bolts (or 3d printed nuts and bolts). I think this set would be perfect for your next "useful 3d printed tools" video. Btw..I just found your channel, looks awesome, I subscribed!!

The way you used that pocket hole jig was actually painfull. If the drill is not the same size as the hole you feed it through to the wood, you don't have any benefit from the jig. and if it does have the same size, the drill will eat your jig, so you need a metal surface inside there. Good idea in principle, but this is a one use disposable tool if you use it right. And if you don't use it right, you don't have to use it at all, because it does nothing for you.

An English speaking, Israeli, 3D printing content creator. Honestly kind of a rare sight. But glad to see 3D printing content from here though, and especially in English. Great production and content too. I have a bit too many printers and parts but frankly my organization surrounding them is a bit awful. I’ve been meaning to print a Gridfinity but it always seems like such a huge project.

Thanks for this! I was expecting the list to have maybe 3-4 useful tools out of the giant list, but you presented MANY useful tools. You also presented tools that weren't just specific to 3D printing, which is even better. I'd love to see integration of 3D prints with other building techniques, such as woodworking and working with metal. As an example, 3D printed bushings to work with steel square tubing, to permit rotation or telescoping designs that may require some mig welding, but that don't need lathe or mill work, because of 3D.

For the bit holder: Try out carbon-fiber polycarbonate, it's slightly flexible but also very strong. It needs an abrasive-resistant nozzle, a well-maintained printer, in some cases a temperature-controller enclosure, a ~100c bed and a ~300c hotend. Your Prusa should be able to handle that though! It's definitely not my favorite material to print with, but it is my favorite in terms of end product properties. Another thing to try is to just make a "solid block" with slightly oversized hex-shaped holes in it, and put a strong neodymium strip embedded in the bottom to hold the bits in their holes. Absolutely loving your channel btw, and the clean look of your studio!

I normally only subscribe to a channel when: 1. It’s a channel where I enjoy most of the videos I watch 2. The videos are ones that I WANT to be spending my time on (I might enjoy fail compilations, but I’d never subscribe to a fail channel because I don’t want to encourage myself to waste time) You just got a new subscriber! And I’ve only seen two of your videos. lol that’s about as fast as I’ve ever subscribed to anyone. I really hope your channel blows up because you give some great information in a great package. Don’t be discouraged by a low subscriber count. I think many people (especially in the technical side of KZfaq) are slow to jump onto a bandwagon until that bandwagon is “proven” to those people. Your insanely rapid rise in view count should be an indicator of how unexpectedly helpful your videos are, and I think the subscriber count will lag behind but it will climb if you keep doing what you’re doing.

Is there anything worse than not being able to get a tool in time? Yes... waiting 14 hours for the printer to finish printing the tool you need, then realizing you didn't put high enough infill so you've got 18 more hours to wait for the stronger version to print and hope its strong enough. Lol. Still, nice video man, its true that it helps to be able to print tools that are hard to get.

As a leather worker, the list of useful tools is endless. Stamps, clamps, GLUE SPREADERS, clips, etc are super easy to work with. That said, the issue with creating a stamp is tough. You have to create a 3D design from a 2D picture. It's super tedious. If you have any suggestions on how to improve that process, I would be deeply grateful.

Yours is by far the best selection of printable tools that are actually useful. You're a clever guy. Please make more videos! One small thing. Maybe set your camera to fixed focus because it wanders a bit during some of your presentations. A minor thing, to be sure.

I found a useful tool last winter. Ice scraper. I tried PLA,PETG,TPU. I found tpu worked fantastic once it was cold(left in the car) petg was a good 2nd option. Also a nice little salt scoop printed from pla was helpful. We got hit with a surprise snow/ ice storm and i wasnt ready so i fired up the printers. Those solder jigs are useful. Print them from petg or better for temp resistance. I have one in ABS and another in PC.

A tool Video and An item on hand video would be amazing. I just got my first printer and am discovering so many things I can make around the house. I need magnets, screws, bolts, glue, and a million other little things.

I like this channel for 3-D printing knowledge. I think it’s tough to talk about tools when you start out saying a speed square is that tool you didn’t know you needed. literally every single person who builds anything has 12 of them.

Yes, interested in both a "tools for 3D printing" video, and a listing of "things" that you think are useful for 3D printing projects. Also, if you've added some more to your gridfinity setup, splash a little of that into the above vids.

For a lazy suzan, you can also print two identical circular plates with a semi-circular profiled groove along the perimeter, where you put glass marbles as ball bearings.

WOW... just you read my mind on what I want to get... 1) A video displaying/providing a list of hardware for 3D printing (nuts, bolts, inserts, bearings,etc) with suggested links in Aliexpress... (Soon we have the 11/11 sales) 2) A video displaying/providing a list of companion tools for 3D printing like the ones you shared at the end. 3) A video explaining how to nail down the PET-G settings, including what devices may be suitable such as a filament dryer, etc.. Greetings from the Galilee :) --- Ricky Marek.

Polycarbonate has better heat resistance than either nylon or Asa. And if you do what I do and use heated enclosures and annealing your parts after directly after printing you can take polycarbonate even a tad higher.
