みなさん、こんにちは。
今、2か月に1度行くガソリンスタンドに向かっています。
国道周辺の木が伐採されたので、そこから建設中のダムの湖底まで見られるようになりました。
こんな感じです。
谷底を細く沢が流れています。
この国道もダム湖に沈みますが、ガードレールの真下の谷底はこんなに深いのです。
こちらが新しい国道、旧道のはるか上を走ります。
確かにこれは半端な水量ではありません。
まるで湖底を走っているような錯覚に陥ります。
これからさらに木が伐採され全景が見えてくると、改めて規模の大きさに驚くことになりそうです。
ガソリンスタンドでガソリン携帯缶に20リットル入れてもらいました。
3500円。高いですね。
これでまた2か月持たせます。
さて、家の周りはあっという間に緑が萌えています。
最近はなぜか紅葉よりも新緑の方が綺麗に感じますね。
老いへの抵抗なのでしょうか？
今日からいよいよ花壇づくりを始めます。
ここに来て10年間、山仕事と畑づくりに追われていましたが、やっと色気のある仕事ができるんですね
まずこの場所から。
ここには家を建てた時にでた廃材や切り株が山のようになっていました。
3年前に公園にしようと計画し、
ジャングルジムのようになった丸太をチェーンソーで一本一本切って片づけ、
整地して道を作り、
丸太で花壇のフレームを作っておきました。
オモチャのような耕運機があるので、先ず刃がからまないように表面の草取りをします。
草の根をとると驚くほど柔らかい地面が露出してきます。もちろん石もありますが。
改めて草の力のすごさは、この崩れない頑丈な法面を見てもわかります。
ところで最近急に一面に苔が生えてきました。
そのためか大きな雑草が減ってきたように感じます。
そして丈の低い天然芝が増えてきています。
こうなると夏場に頻繁に草刈りをやる必要もなさそうです。
さて、太陽光パネルで充電した蓄電器を持ってきて耕運機で作業開始です。
この格安マシンで本格的な耕作作業をするのは無理ですが、花畑を作ることぐらいはできます。
焦らずゆっくりと刃の角度を変えれば、意外と深く掘り起こすこともできます。
手で引っこ抜けない石も掘り起こしてくれますが、石が刃に挟まると動かなくなってしまうので要注意。
また、肥料を土壌と混ぜ込むのにも便利です。
マルチシートを敷くかどうか迷いましたが、夏の草取りの手間を考えて、やはり使うことにしました。
それでは種まきです。
シカが嫌うというマリーゴールドの種を撒きます。
マリーゴールドは１年草ですが、秋には種を採ることができるそうなので試してみます。
大量に撒きたいのですが、さすがにアマゾンも楽天も安くはありません。
そこでメルカルで探してみると、ありました。450円なり。
どれだけ発芽するか保証はありませんが、これならかなり広範囲に撒けそうです。
もうマルチシートを止める杭がないので、法面から崩れた石を載せて風に飛ばされないようにします。
昔住んでいた所の畑の土を運んで作ったこの道路の法面。手頃な石がありました。
全部使い切ったので法面もきれいになりました。
次はロータリーです。
3か所ありますが、まず一番大きな島から。
一辺が10ｍあります。
秋に土を入れて整地したばかりなので草も生えてなくて作業も簡単です。
これなら耕運機も快調。
蓄電器の電気もまだ70％残っています。
フットワークも軽く、種まきものびのびと気持ちよくできました。
土を被せて完了。
2番目の島は昨年末に腐葉土を入れたところなので、同じ要領で完了。
3番目の島も土づくりがしっかりできているので、20㎝間隔で3・4粒づつ撒いて完了。
まだ種が残っているので、別の場所にも撒いてみます。
一週間後に発芽していることを願うばかりです！

I got 20 liters of gasoline in my portable can at a gas station.
$22. It's expensive.
I have to use this for about 2 months.
Well, the greenery around my house is sprouting in no time.
Lately, for some reason to me, fresh green leaves seem more beautiful than autumn leaves.
Is it my resistance to aging?
Starting today, I will finally start making flower beds.
For the past 10 years since I came here, I've been busy working in the forest and cultivating fields, but I'm finally able to do some exciting work.

There were piles of scrap wood and stumps from when the house was built.
Three years ago, I planned to turn here into a park,
cut the logs, which had become like jungle gyms, one by one with a chainsaw and cleared up.
Leveling the ground and making roads,
I made a couple of frame for the flower bed using these logs.
I have a toy-like cultivator,
so I remove the weeds from the surface to avoid getting the blades tangled.
When removing the roots, the surprisingly soft ground is exposed.
Of course there are stones too.
So, once again, the power of grass is amazing.
You can see this by looking at this sturdy slope that will not collapse.
By the way, recently moss has suddenly started to grow all over here.
Perhaps that's why the number of large weeds seems to have decreased.
And the number of short natural grasses is increasing.
If so, I won't need to mow the grass as often in the summer.
Now, I brought my storage battery charged with the solar panel
and started working with this cheap cultivator.
Although it is impossible to do full-scale cultivation work with this cheap machine,
at least this can do to create a flower garden.
If slowly changing the angle of the blade without rushing,
it can dig surprisingly deep.
It can also dig up stones that cannot be pulled out by hand.
But, be careful because if the stone gets caught in the blade, it will not move.
It is also useful for mixing fertilizers with the soil.
I was wondering whether to lay a mulch sheet or not,considering the weeding in summer,
I decided to use it again.
Now let's sow the seeds.
I will sow marigold seeds, which deer dislike.
Marigolds are annual plants, but
I heard that it can collect seeds in the fall, so I'll try.
I want to spread it in large quantities.
But, as expected, Amazon and Rakuten are not cheap.
So I looked for it on Mercal.
