Dr. Goldberg is from Wilmington, Delaware. She went to UPenn where she majored in the Biological Basis of Behavior, graduated Magna Cum Laude, was judged to have the best honor's thesis in her major and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She went to Albert Einstein College of Medicine for her MD degree and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. She was a surgery resident here at Jefferson for many years, but changed careers to pathology. She is currently a cytopathologist and gynecologic surgical pathologist. She is also the doting mother to amazing twins and loving wife to her historian husband. Her research focuses on graduate medical education and laboratory quality and safety. In her "spare" time, she loves to ski, row, and watch her kids do karate and play baseball.

Pathology is an intersection between basic science and clinical knowledge. Being in love in diagnostic medicine and directly observe the disease with our eyes makes pathology is a fantastic medical field to explore. I do agree that "the hallmark of good pathology is the one who find out new things that they don't know, and excited to figure it out and learn something new". Thank you for the sharing session. I hope this video able to inspired doctors to pursue their field in pathology.

Premed and nurse (RN) here and I'm applying to medical schools in a couple years hoping to pursue my dream of becoming a pathologist! This further confirmed this is the career for me as I've had a lot of shadowing hours already. Loved the conversation and questions - Dr. Goldberg is very well-spoken and an inspiration. Absolutely enjoyed her honesty about her journey.

2024 Happy New Year to an extremely busy mum in all aspects of life. Being a mum and a Doctor is noble. Being methodical is important as a medical woman and mum with a growing family. Thanks for being there for people like myself. Also having a bottle of water close to hand would be quenching. Bless you ❤❤😊
