He was just at our church for an out reach that we had. He is so rad! He sang with his band =] . We watched a movie he was in called Walking on Water

charging those sick waves back then, and still killing it. I'll hope to ever become this good as the Tom Curren in the 80s haha.

One of my best of friends in the entire world is a surfer to the very core and says one of the truest things ive ever heard : " All us surfers surf the way we surf because of tom curren " i think he is so right . juan carlos ruiz .

Honestly it's great to see 80's Curren. I have some VHS from french TV of 86 Curren - a profile shot in Biarritz and covers of 1986 Lacanau Pro and 1990 Lacanau and Biarritz pro. Some really good contest surfing from the master. If the quality's still good I will edit and post. In the meantime keep it coming 28media!!

This was a clip from either "Blazing Boards" or "Beyond Blazing Boards". Why do I know this? Because it was the only two surfing video's I had growing up in the mid 80's.

My all time favorite surfer with alot of style. I would rather watch Tom surf than the young kids doing aerials anyday.

debates are fun...they are expression of our appreciation.... Tom has never done it for me but he is definitely one of the great surfers. His forehand tube riding was phenomenal; with the best. Occy will say Tom was the best but for me Occy did alot more. Much more variety, much more innovation, forehand, backhand, beyond hands.

Hawaii wasn't toms bag. One of the best but not in high stress situations. I think that's why he broke down so many doors as a free surfer.
