Big fan of the code “buy this watch for a chance at a Royal Oak” 1159!

Awesome video! This reminds me of when I added my Royal Oak Tourbillon to my collection back in 2003. It was a challenge purchasing from an AD then. Now, I'm going to do some research to find out its current worth. As a collector, I see my watches as investments, and I'm curious to see how much this one has appreciated. I am a massive fan of the Code 1159. I didn't understand what the fuss was about when it was introduced, however, I am very impressed with the changes and updates that have been introduced. The fume dial is a thing of beauty and the one you have chosen is no different. Congratulations 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Its a nice watch, but am I the only one who sees Seiko Cocktail similarities for the dial? SRPJ models and somewhat the SRPK.

AP should definitely change the default strap for a shorter one if you require it especially at this price point.

A very nice one! I always enjoyed your video and I found that we shared a very common taste of watches. I owned many watches same as yours and this code 11.59 is also on my list. The ceramic center part makes it unique comparing to other stainless steel ones and I prefer date window at 3 o’clock comparing to those gold ones on 4 o’clock. Beautiful watch, congrats on your purchase. I have been always a fan of code 11.59. That said, really wished for more water resistance. IMO that would reduce the sport and daily activity on the watch, and you were a bit too generous there. That said, enjoy your watch, it's gorgeous.

Too high priced knowing that the same can be found also unworn, full set on C24 for 20-22k. So if this purchase wasn't to secure a slot for a jumbo RO, then it is not financially sound.

Looks nice and combination with ceramics looks great, but price is insane…it can compete with 43mm BP which has iconic design and its 3xtimes cheaper. 15-17k is max for this watch due to Ap heritage and name. I really do not get this kind of pricing, they are not searching for new customers with more entry level price, they are just milking people with money in order to get their Royal Oaks at one point. At one point it will be gone like all previous AP lines from the past and the RO will stay one model brand…

Come on be honest. You bought this watch to get a chance to get a jumbo or something better after. It doesn't fit your wrist (way too big) and you could have saved ~7K if you bought it on the grey market... This purchase and this review is 100% calculated to be in the good papers of AP. I don't blame you for that but when I saw the score you gave to that watch and especially the bracelet/strap, the image & history and the value for money I was like WTF 😂😂😂

Not really a fan of the code line, feels like a watch you have to buy as part of the silly AP/ ROLEX?/PATEK game. Defo not worth 29k.I mean obviously its nice! but not for me for that price point.

You shouldnt have to pay for an additional strap if the original doesnt fit you well... for the price of the watch they SHOULD make so it fits you on the spot perfectly!!!

The fundamental flaw of this watch is the case which lacks the elegant simplicity of a good design. The code 11.59 name is also dumb it sounds like a password. AP should look outwards to hire a new designer for some fresh inspiration and not get caught up in its own ego. Yes the dials overcome the ugliness of the case but long term, this line just sucks.

That Royal Oak is one ugly piece made from meccano bits. The 11-59 looks a lot better to these eyes, but you've still been bent over on the price 😅
