I like making craft projects and useful items from discarded items. I find it difficult to throw away well-built items that normally get thrown in the trash.
I also like to make my own household chemical solutions and cleaning solutions and workshop or kitchen tools and supplies that can be used with such a bottle.
The standard plastic squeeze bottle used for ketchup that comes with a top that has a little membrane at the tip to regulate the flow is an example of such an item. The bottle is very well designed. After I use the catsup I find it difficult to throw the bottle away. In this video, I came up with 29 different ways a person can use a discarded plastic squeeze bottle used for ketchup.

Kudos Robb, some great ideas on your list. I wash these bottles and reuse them when I’m canning food for vinegar to keep close by. I always put a squirt of vinegar in my water I’m canning my jars in. That way they don’t get that hard water cloudiness that has to be scrubbed off. I still wash all my jars after 24 hours just to make sure they are good and clean, but at least I don’t have to scrub them or smell the vinegar if it’s in a bowl. Have a blessed night!

Fantastic suggestions, Robb! I save my empty dispensers as well. I think it'd make a good fidget toy or game. With colored oil and all that. I like fidget toys. 🙂

Hey Jennifer, my favorite fidget toy is putting a penny in a balloon and blowing it up and tying it so the air doesn't come out. Then start rotating the balloon so the penny rolls around on the inside. I also like to take the silver Christmas tree ornaments that are around like a ball and very reflective and hold them close to my face. I crack up laughing at the crazy way it makes a person's face look. I am easily amused😀

In a pinch, you could use it on a long road trip when you didn't want to make a pit stop. I have noticed that when people do this, the usually leave the bottle in obvious locations at rest stops. This is odd, as rest stops have rest rooms, but i guess there is no accounting for human behavior. 😀

Very cool video Robb, a couple of the uses you list off here I wouldnt even have crossed my mind 😂 Me and my parents sometimes reuse the plastic containers from butter we buy from publix to hold sauce or something similar thatll fit in there. Like currently Ive had chimichurri cravings so lately ive been adding a little bit to everything ive been eating! Funny thing is in the past i really didnt like spicy food as much, or spicy things in general. Odd how tastes can change with time as we get older.

It's always good to have water on a trip. One time I was out on a boat and got stuff in my eyes and all I had to drink was lemonade. No water.

These are my absolute favorite types of your videos. I only save a few plastic bottles, but more into reusing glass jars. There are some things that only plastic squeeze bottles can do that glass can't. OK... here is another use for the squeeze bottles. When there was that big scare of no toilet paper on the store shelves and people were even looking into getting a bidet (butt rinse), you could actually use one of these squeeze bottles with warm water for cleansing. I never tested it because with my business, I had a year's supply of toilet paper in storage. Still remember being smug about having that secret stash on hand already while others were trying to come up with alternates to not using so much of their toilet paper. Saw the Sea Monkey advertisements in the few Classics comic books I had as a kid and I'm still traumatized thinking about these little sea creatures that could be shipped to you. Suppose that is why I steer clear of eating shrimp or other squeamish foods! Your sweetheart sidewalk message melted me - awwwww.

A Heinz bidet. 😁👍I’ll keep that as an option. I’m thinking that’s a great improvement over the ancient Roman public baths and facilities community sponge on a stick in a bucket of water. ( No kidding. A public sponge on a stick!. We sure have it easy now.)

If you could get a little wire ,and something to serve as electrodes ,and an electrical source you could generate hydrogen in the bottles and fly away from Alcatraz. I learned that from the guy with the steam powered tricycle.

With the addition of an old pocket lighter fuel powered heater , you could bring your own gravy to the buffet. Squirt warm gravy on your fries. You could even set up a stand by McDonalds and charge fifty cents per squirt. You can buy honey cheaper in bulk and use that type bottle to dispense it. I do that now.

@@RobbsHomemadeLife The big bottle of Mexican honey from Walmart(nice reusable bottle.) I don’t remember the name. I just looked at the amount , the source and the price.I use an old honey jar that’s the same as the new ketchup bottles to dispense it . It’s the cheapest honey available to me. Sometimes it seems like it may be cut with molasses, but it serves my purpose. Storing the honey in an upside down squirt jar is the only way to fly. I don’t use much . Just a bit to balance the sweetness of stevia. Stevia is much more tolerable with a small amount of honey. The stevia doesn’t seem to activate all the tastebuds that sugar or honey does. A very small amount of sugar or honey really helps my coffee and tea. One bad thing about stevia is if you use even a little too much, it is nasty. It’s better than diabetes though.
