We had an insane hunt with clients and shot over 200 geese, come in the blind with us and get the full experience of an Arkansas snow goose hunt.

You would be surprised on how much geese can hear sounds. Even if you have 1000 making a ton of noise and you are calling to them they can hear you just fine. And a speck call is the best call to use cuz it's different and sounds natural.

Volley doesn't mean they all shot and emptied their guns. You also got to think with that many guys there are some groups that guys on the other end didn't get to shoot at.

I am not sure exactly why but I am an avid wood duck hunter and wood ducks don’t make much noise on the water. So instead of trying to call woodies we have a mixed bag of decoys and do mallard calls so that the birds feel comfortable to come in. That being said geese in generally make a lot of noise on the ground and in the air so this isn’t the exact explanation but it could explain a little bit.

Snow geese will respond to speckle belly calls and specks will respond to snows. It’s easier to get more excitement and notes out of a speck call than a snow goose call, that’s why they use them. Plus not everyone does it so it’s something new, that hopefully educated geese will be more comfortable coming in to. Hope that helps.

Yes that was awesome! The guy with the call needs to realize he is not accomplishing anything other than taking away from a great video. Them birds cannot hear him most of the time over their own racket.
