This video has a small snippet of the naming ceremony performed with TV's Prue Leith along with the rest of the action in and around the railway centre focusing on the recently launched into service GWR Saint class locomotive no, 2999 Lady of Legend which has been back dated to recreate the class of locomotive which was made extinct as far back as 1953 by converting Great Western Hall class no, 4942 Maindy Hall into a Saint class over many years of restoration and making Saint components to bring you Lady of Legend strutting her stuff in and around Didcot Railway Centre

One of the three species of extinct Great Western ten wheelers is now officially resurrected. Now we just need to wait for the new 6800 class 6880 Betton Grange and the replica 1000 class 1014 County of Glamorgan to be completed.

Excellent video shots of the new GWR Saint Class in her first launch action at Didcot mate 👍👏😉 I'm planning to see the Saint in action on Easter Friday in two weeks time and I'm looking forward for it.

No, she's a re-creation of a Churchward 2900 'Saint' class, One batch of which were named after 'ladies' 2901 Lady Superior being the first. On a demonstration run in 1906, 2903 Lady of Lyons allegedly reached a speed of 120mph.
