Crazy how a year ago it was cheaper to buy a GTE instead of build a solid NA+t which is the way I am going
@esh9x153
@esh9x153 16 күн бұрын
yeah now it makes more sense to NA+T unless you have a VVTI ge and you either want to make more than 400 whp and/or you have a higher mileage engine. In those cases i'd argue the aristo swap still makes sense ESPECIALLY if you have a pre 2001 GS since those have the same wiring as the gtes

GE head gasket is not composite rubbish as this video says. Its a single layer viton coated gasket that actually is pretty strong. Best option is putting rods in a 2jzge vvti and gte headgasket no real need to do head studs factory head bolts are the same from gte to ge. Go standalone and run e85, I follow a couple guys who are making 700-900whp with stock GE vvti pistons just changing out rods and headgasket. Could also just boost a 2jzge non vvti and run the distributor as your CAS and wire in some vvti coils or LS, gtr or yaris coils. You'd benefit from the higher compression with e85 and wouldnt even have to crack open the engine.

@@VEGA-Jthe 2jz ge non vvti has the same internals as the 2jz GTE therefore you can increase the same HP as a GTE, the case varies when it is the 2jz ge vvti that has the thinnest internals and you cannot squeeze it the same as a GTE or a GE non vvti, so about your question is if you can increase your 2jz ge non vvti

Lost me the second you said no need to do head studs. If you’re adding boost to a GE without removing the head at all, you’re brave at best. If you remove the head, you have to replace the bolts and the gasket. Best option is to go with undercut studs to avoid any future twist. I would have to see these guys you follow to believe it, cause pushing anything over 4-500 hp with a distributor is a ticking time bomb. I have doubts that anyone in the 700+ range would even consider running stock bolts over studs.

I have a 2jzge+t and it holds 350kw fine. Was way cheaper to upgrade to forged pistons and rods than to search for a whole non vvti bottom end. All in my build cost me $6500 about the same as it would be to buy a non vvti in Australia

Swap the 2JZGTE RODS INTO THE GE (remember the GE BLOCK HAS OIL SQUIRTERS) and have some fun.... the stock GE however CAN BE be turbo'd but not beyond 400hp, rods won't support anymore. Tons of guys have done the 2JZGE-NA swap here in the U.S. just check out other KZfaq feeds. THE BLOCK IS VERSATILE more then most think, yes the 1jz and 2jzGTE are built beefier but are stupid expensive depending on where your at. Personally I'm thinking THE 3UZ V8 swap in my 05 IS300. FITS LIKE A GLOVE AND HIS HIGHLY POPULAR NOW only because CALI emissions are retardedly STRICT. SEEN BEAMERS, 240'S and others with that V8 Swap.....

i have a 1987 Toyota supra swapped a jdm non-vvti 2jzge in it and slapped a 70mm turbo on it with a greddy e management ultimate only ran 8 psi of boost was great then i wanted more so i rebuilt the motor the ge head gasket is single layer metal not composite. took the head and block to a machine shop got them decked and put new oem 2jzge piston rings and acl bearings (crank and rods) arp crank bolts arp rod bolts got a new oem 2jzgte head gasket arp head bolts new asin 2jzge oil pump VITON VALVE STEM SEALS 650cc denso injectors and put it all back together you can do it for cheaper but i went all out. and for oil pumps you cant run a gte oil pump on a ge block you can but you will push the front main seal out from to much oil pressure. 2jzgte are getting really pricey you can turbo a 2jzge as long as you know what you are doing!

SUPRA VWORLD I’m currently doing it now. That’s what I’m saying though. If you want a stock GTE then of course get a GTE but the second you want to put a single turbo on that sucker it’s much more cost effective to do a GE. Personally my GE has HKS cams mls gasket and basic APR studs. Yes I’ve modified the head for the sensor and a local fan guy would do it with proper clearance for and hours worth of work ( about $150) like I said before if you want more than a stock GTE than yes a GE is 100% the right move. Don’t forget the stock Toyota head bolts have been proven to 800hp if you don’t want to get ARP studs.

the ge distributor houses the crank and cam angle sensors, you can just remove the cap and rotor and use the base of the distributor instead of getting sensor ports welded to the head and replacing the oil pump. you also need a ignition pulse confirmation synthesizer to run yaris coils on a gte ecu

Yes I tried this with the distributor, using it for base timing but it’s just not accurate enough. Yes there is so many variables to doing this. @@dabitat yeah, the non vvti rods are the same as the stock gte rods. The compression difference between the gte and the ge comes from the thicker 3 later metal head gasket on the gte. So, if you can find stock gte pistons and rods, get those and a gte head gasket and you are essentially good to go. As long as you arent trying to make huge numbers. That should be solid for 500-600hp which is more than what most streetable cars need anyway

I think you’re right on the mark with 370hp for the rods and Automatic box, which will still be a very fast car and nearly double the HP. I may be getting an is300 soon to make videos, so please look out for that. Also if you go to the supravworld.com site you can see the turbo manifolds that will fit the is300. Obviously the 1jz as well as 2jzgte are monsters but with the price I'd mod the 2000-2005 GE engine. The 2j-GE is versatile even RAD DOM (BIGGEST 2JZ BUILDER IN THE U.S.) has stated its a versatile alternative. Though guys are swapping 1UZ's V8 are popular swaps now.

So, please tell me what 2jz should I put in my bmw e36? 2jz ge non vvti 2jz ge vvti 2jz gte non vvti 2jz gte vvti. Which one should I buy to start my project? I am going to change internals anyway. I want to make 600hp +. Thanks.
@evanv8610
@evanv8610 3 жыл бұрын
From the information I would go with a 2jz ge non vvti because the internals are stronger, but if you’re already changing them it won’t make a huge difference. You would have to additionally turbo the engine or convert from twin to single no matter what so.

naah bra @Andrew, look for non vvti rods and pistons of gte, single turbo maybe 3076 and a stand alone ecu...you be better than all 3 options listed.

This is why you don't take info off the internet and try to make a video if you have not gone thru the process. Half of his info is wrong and this video gets a thumbs down.

I have built a 2jzge NA-t. It’s sitting in my garage right now. I even fabricated my own turbo exhaust manifold for the ge head and have spent hundreds of hours working on these engines. Who are you? Please explain what information is incorrect!

@@supravworld8777 SUPRA VWORLD Nothing in this video was incorrect though you misssed critical parts of information when talking about certain topics or you threw it in somewhere else. There was to many to list so im not going to give you an example for that because if you know this stuff you should of worded it better and taken your time with a video such as this. Saying you have a 2jz-ge turbo (NA-T) and spent 100's of hours does not mean you know what your talking about i have seen plenty of misinformed people bulding engines.... There is plenty of info out there and you clearly need to learn more about the 2jz-ge vvti variant because it is far more superior then a 2jz-ge non vvti. Especially when aplying boost!
@bobbyoghee9124
@bobbyoghee9124 4 жыл бұрын
@@supravworld8777 @SUPRA VWORLD Not to metion the fact a 2jz-Gte means twin turbo. Any 2jz-Ge with a turbo (NA-T) is most likely a single turbo otherwise you may aswell buy a 2jz-Gte but for cost to power ratio with (higher hp) your better off with a 2jz-Ge and a single turbo unless you own a 2jz-Gte equipped car already. So IMO the higher the hp your looking for the better off you will be building a 2jz-Ge into a 2jz-Ge-T (NA/T) over a 2jz-Gte.

@@bobbyoghee9124 please tell me you're trolling because you sound ridiculous. The 2jzge VVTI is the weakest version of the 2jz platform due to its smaller connecting rods. You are limited to around 400rwhp before it breaks. If you are building one of these engines you do not want the GE VVTI version.

@@shadyshinichi2JZ Hahaha are you serious.Trolling lol...? if your staying factory there are many better engines out there....If you want a modified 2jz all you need to do is swap the con rods and head gasket on a ge to turbo it and its cheaper then buying a gte and going single turbo state some facts or gtfo.
