Great video! I've traveled that stretch many times, as I have family in Delta, Colorado just to the west of there on US 50. Old Monarch pass on the next rip would be a fun ride!

Great video! Old Monarch would be good. I've driven it, and even drove up original Monarch Pass, well, up to where it's closed off because of the ski area (this was somewhere in the vicinity of 1983-1986 when I did that).

Graduated High School in Salida. During a Drivers Education class I drove up to the top of Monarch Pass.

I have the awfullest time with these " Pass" videos. My fear of heights is # 1 but, these sped up versions effect my vertigo sensation too. Guess, I'll never be able to enjoy the great state of Colorado.

At the bottom of the video, on the right side, you will see a gear....Click on that and you can slow down the video big time so it will not make you so dizzy. Hope this helps.
