With wipe just under way I wanna talk about and show you the importance of finding a buddy to play with, to honestly, just make your time in Tarkov a lot easier. The end of wipe was on the horizon and I found myself playing maps I don't usually play, and to be honest it was really rough, a lot of the time I was relying on people in chat to help guide me to certain loot spots and other times I just got distracted by pvp.

I think solo is easier, everything I hear/see is hostile, having to differentiate sometimes lowers my reaction times and sometimes frustrates me. Solo is much more "relaxing".

Its especially easier once you know the maps. Gear up light to use mobility to confuse and pick off enemy p.n. your way to a destination, and once you’re fat and heavy, go through the less visited locations towards and exit. I love playing solo. Its tough, but you’re much more vigilant, much more aware of your surroundings, and you improve an learn much faster since you have to manage everything by yourself and so you gain more experience to learn from.

It is nice yes if you prefer it of course. I feel way more secure with my Duo mate. I play with him since 3 wipes and we are very calculated on each others playstyles. I love it. Also its sometimes a bit boring if you cant talk to anyone. I think thats better if you are live and you can talk to the chat

Need a good team. I ran with a 5 man my first 300 hours of this game. We all played together every day for months. All day every day. At first it was hectic but we eventually started playing in a set formation. We had our positions figured out and if for some reason we got split up we could recognize each other by how we moved. It's really awesome playing with a good team.

i can agree on this since when i played i was always playing with someone (this wipe im trying to solo since no one plays anymore :D) but even if the teammate doesnt get kills you still got the kills because of your teammate. a teammate who knows the map and preferably goes with your playstyle is more valuable than any item in the game

This is my second wipe after barely playing last one, so I can't really count it xD but I've found that playing with buds is 100% the way to go. Extra eyes, teamwork, shared success, shared failure. I've tried playing solo, and especially as a pea green, tiny Timmy, it's near impossible and just not as fun. I'll take a raid with my homies, whether it's just two of us, or all five geared up together, over trying to play this game alone every time.

duo is my favorite way to play. i have a duo partner that i hate not playing with. i do play solo and with other friends. but my boi and i played the entirety of last wipe together. playing solo just feels wrong without my battle buddy watching my back :D

I want to show my friends tarkov so I told them to play during a fresh wipe but now their only experience is waiting in half hour queues only to die to scavs and rats 😅 I hope it calms down soon 😢

Waiting for a fresh wipe is unnecessary. Who cares how much gear everyone has. New players should jump in any time to learn the game. This game takes many hours to learn all the mechanics, map knowledge, etc. Even if it's a month til wipe it's worth starting to learn and practice. You can always join a discord server and learn from experienced players that will help you survive in raids. I feel like waiting a month or two to start on a wipe is not wise because you still have to figure everything out, and many players will have good gear within a month of a fresh wipe anyways. It would be best for a new player to learn a bit before a fresh wipe and then go into a new wipe with more knowledge.

Can I express the biggest suggestion that I have for the wipe ? Wear the best gear you can get your hands on ASAP. I started with a paca , turtle helmet, and I used the starting M4 with the holographic. I only had time for about 5 or 6 raids, but I went for stashes and found a level 4 armor and then killed a guy and took his level 4 helmet. Since then I have 18 kills and I have not died or failed to extract once because no one even the people that are multiple levels higher than me are running trash. Everyone wants to horde gear, while Im running around feeling like a tank.

@@jackvernian7779 Even worse because vendors dont give shit for High Tier armor and weapons and you cant sell them on the flea market. Using them early to get ahead is the best advantage you can take to compete. Sorry, but level up or stay a rookie, your choice.

@@kaj5981 Yeah like 160k roubles to Ragman. When it was on flea market before it was like 400-600k roubles. Its also one of the best armours in the game.
