Usually with 0.2, 0.3 (sometimes 0.15, if I’m working with Micron then 0.18) in these exercises from 0.15 to 0.30, that’s not that important at all. I can use a thinner but sometimes I don’t, it depends on the consistency and coverage of the paint, there’s no particular recipe, you always gotta look for a balance

The needle stopper is on some airbrushes, but not all have them. It's a thing on the back where you can adjust and set it so that the trigger can only be pulled back as far as you want it. Thus if you need to make thin hair lines and dont want to accidentally pull the trigger to far back, it will stop the trigger at the desired spray amount. Hope that helps. Cheers.
