This is the 2nd annual gathering of Hiker Trailer enthusiast on the East side of the Mississippi. We gathered at Indian Boundary Lake Rec Area in TN, Sept 18-20, 2020. We had the chance to see 10 different trailers from simple to complex. Stay tuned for more footage from this event.

Good video as always Matt & Windy. I will be at the next HT GATHERING ‼️ Accessorizing the “TIME MOCHINE” now . of course this is a never ending activity cause we all get so much enjoyment from it. So put the Time Mochine on the next expedition list.. I’m excited, can’t wait‼️‼️

Katydid (Microcentrum rhombifolium) Katydids are a family of insects related to grasshoppers and crickets. They’re also called bush crickets or long-horned grasshoppers in some regions.

Ill be buying one in the next year or so. Just saving up my pennies. Would love a video sometime on tips with camping in a hiker with a pup.

from my experience, having just placed my order. Hiker Denver is currently on a 18 month back order, so I'd put your order in soonish! the large majority is due at pickup, so plenty of time to save. Just a heads up! Our trailer is coming from Indiana and it's only a 6 month lead time.

Matt - great video. Can you tell me how to make a magnetic shelf that will sit on the wheel well like the one couple showed us? DP in MD

If I recall, they countersunk some magnets in the wood. Then the magnets attached to the fender with the shelf being flat on the fender to give additional support.

I've ordered a 5x10 I'm wondering if the shelving comes standard?

Shelving in the back comes standard: floor, middle shelf and top shelf. Inside the shelf with the round hole is standard.

Hey Matt, enjoying all your Hiker videos. I have a question for you or anyone here. Looking at buying a 5x9 Mid-Range but curious if anyone would recommend or regret not getting the 5x10 instead. Also would appreciate any other time tested recommendation/preferences.

There most popular model is the 5x9 and 5x8. 5x10 might be good for a family that is adding a bunk option and needs more storage.

My biggest question/concern is potty! I grew up using an outhouse, but in a camping situation how do you empty a porta potty? Is the hiker large enough for a porta potty with a cassette part for body waste? Privacy!! Important questions. Thank you for sharing. Safe travels.
