I measured my 94 ranger, it's the same width as the 2 gen s10 and tailgate too. Will it be able to fit with the without curved tailgate of the ranger? And would I be able to use rivnuts for them strutless mounts?

Considering the aerodynamics of a pickup truck the wing might do a better job on the back of the cab instead of the tailgate. Has anyone actually put one in a wind tunnel? apart from Myth Busters that is.

Would it be ok for noise limitation to put a very thin piece of rubber between the mounts and wing main body? Or would that create to much inconsistencies.

With it riveted your shouldn’t need them.
