I am glad to get a decent time when I started this ultra rushed run (blind run too) without any time to optimize farming and whatnot because the event ends in less than 24 hours. 🤯
I opened BTD 6 around the usual boss release day and time, but I was baffled when I saw an ongoing boss event and the leaderboard wasn't fresh! 😱🫨😮 I googled and found out it was an early boss because of the upcoming update 42.0.
Super bad run but ok. 🤷‍♂️

Can you explain the pause / home menu spam? I see it a lot but can't see a reason

Basically, every pause means I'm doing a specific action without wasting time - pausing means boss timer is not progressing while I'm not doing anything, which means time wasted like moving cursor from point A to B. For example, if I were to cast engigon sentry ability, I will pause and move my cursor to the intended position then cast it and pause again for the next action (also, 99% of the time I can't see my cursor, so pausing helps to find my cursor 😂). Additionally, some pauses are just for me to stop momentarily and think about my next sequence of actions. Considering the importance of 0.01 secs in a top 3 run (literally it can make or break a top 1 run), so I will do anything to save it. 😂

I’ve seen that in PvZ speedruns, feel like it’s very common in lots of tower defense games

Nice run considering the limited time, also fun to see you actually had a good opolis, I built a ~3.6k per crate one and said fuck it for the rest of the run 🤣
