This is Year 2 of working on my 1985 924 2.0 NA. Last year wasn't as productive as the previous one as I was moving to a new house and that required a lot of work and money. But since I'm done with all that this year I can dedicate a lot more time and budget toward the restoration. Next up is finishing the engine rebuild and adjacent parts.

That’s one shiny brake booster! I repainted my mount as well… and recall mouth-testing the check valve. 😂 It seemed fine, but I replaced it anyway. Cool sticker reproduction, the whole brake assembly looks amazing!

You should upgrade the intake outlet to the audi 5000 one! You get more air and is direct fit! Excelente work BTW

Ah man, I can't wait for this beauty to get back to the roads completely restored!!! I wish I could do the same what you are doing, but I have no idea how to start a project like this. What would you recommend to a complete beginner, how to learn the art of restauration?

Thank you! This is my first project too... I have very little prior knowledge. I learn as I go most of the time. I just imagine it as a lot of smaller projects and it gets a bit less overwhelming. A lot of youtube watching, to see how other people do with other cars... and a lot of research, forms and manuals reading.

So little subscribers for such meticulous attention to detail in your restoration is a shame. Are you going for a 100% stock restoration or will you make some subtle improvements/changes. F.e. a switch to LED lights or a different steering wheel?

Thank you! For now everything will be stock... I'm not a big fan of visual mods but maybe some performance mods in the future.

@@RestorationApprentice I respect that! If I ever get to work on a project like this I'd want a mostly stock exterior. I'd consider maybe switching the lights and some interior changes though. I think the interior will be tough to get looking right unless the stock parts are being sold somewhere. I look forward to see how you will tackle it!
