Join me on my dirt and pavement adventure, filmed on 3 cameras, riding 3000 miles on my motorcycle to journey from New York City to Fundy National Park in Canada on a Triumph Bonneville SE during May. I spent a few rainy days in Acadia National Park in Maine (primarily riding Park Loop Road on Mt. Desert Isle), and headed north up Route 1 "Maine's Big Sur", to the Fundy Coast in Canada. Plenty of logging roads, winding coastal roads, and even a little bit of snow. I chose to motocamp most nights, despite the cold weather in Canada.

@@philipli4085 -🤣 honestly im young still in my 30's dont get me wrong I like Triumph motorcycles especially the Rocket 3.. however Harley Davidson is still "The Harley davidson" whichever way you put it.. it is Iconic the brand the logo the motorcycle.. triumph is an english brand and its best if they just stay in england....

I just rode a 2400 km (1500 miles) trip between the South and Southeast of Brazil, and I can't think of a better description of the feeling of riding than yours here. The trip was a soul-warming experience. By the way, your content is incredible! Hope to see more from you.

Na volta, desci pelo Rastro da Serpente até Curitiba, e depois retornei para SC. O Rastro da Serpente é deslumbrante, vale muito os quilômetros a mais, basta ter atenção e ir com cuidado.

I love your introduction on the difference between car & motorcycles. Such a message there, i only had the chance to ride a motorcycle once but i'm an avid bike rider & certainly the freedom that comes from riding a 2wheeler and the connection that happens to nature is real deep, even walking/trailing in nature won't do me like riding does on a bike. Real freedom like this you'll never experience in your routine life, you need to seek discomfort every now & then to really feel what it's like.

Spot on explanation of riding. I lived in Australia for 10 years before returning to Canada. I only rode motorcycles. Didn't own a car. Because I could ride year round. This video is exactly the same thing I would tell all my friends. And I toured all over the eastern part of Australia. Still ride today, but its only half of the year now.

Great video. I have over 9500 miles on my 2013 Bonneville. I ditched the airbox, added Headers, Progressive springs in the front with Racetech valve emulators, Ohlin shocks in the rear, and a new set of Pirelli Diablo III's. I LOVE my Bonneville!!

I love it Chris! My good friend Jay and I drove our motorcycles the entire way around Ireland last summer, wild camping along the coastline, stopping off to climb mountains along the way. It was the best adventure I've ever had. Jay and I had so many conversations about the trip, how the journey became the destination! You've captured all the conversation we had in one 6 minute video, you've summed it up beautifully! Well done.

Within moments of watching this I’m transported back to the teenage boy reading “Zen and the Art off Motorcycle Maintenance”. I read it aged 13 and got a moped aged 16 - into the metal cage at age 20. Age 40 a BMW R1150GS took me and my then girlfriend, now my wife, all around Europe. Age 50 I re-read the aforementioned book - and still never really understood it. Your words and short video have amplified and expanded my love of two wheel travel - thank you so much.

Thanks Phil. I definitely recommend checking out Pirsig's second book, Lila. It helps tie his ideas around the Metaphysics of Quality together with a real-world application / against history. And if you would rather skip that - www.goodmetaphysics.com gives a solid overview of the concepts of both books in a more concise format!

Great story, clips and pics, Chris! I took a similar trip, more than 20 years ago, with my BMW R100R and a buddy and his HD. We crossed the country riding from L.A. to N.Y. in 16 days, taking each day as it came, dealing with freezing temperatures, snow and ice, rain storms/floods, 125 degrees temperature and then some of the most beautiful days I'll ever remember cruising 5,000 miles in total. What an experience!

Rode up to Nova Scotia with a friend a few years ago, and my ride was also a Bonnie (2010 model). Did the southern (lighthouse) route from Yarmouth, then continued east to do the Cabot Trail. Returned to the States via New Brunswick. Easily one of the best trips of my life. Great video 👍🏻 Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed the photography and your philosophical musings about life's journey on a motorcycle. When I have taken my motorcycle onto the scenic and less congested B Class roads over the last 50 years, one's mind does reflect on the beauty, sounds and smells of the countryside that you pass through. You never experience the same in a car, as you are cocooned in an air conditioned travelling office, listening to the radio or music, and not taking in the "reality" of what's on the outside. I'm semi retired now, but I've managed to cover 50K. kilometres over the last five years on what may be my last motorcycle, like yours, a 2009 Triumph Bonneville SE, on the backroads where I live now, in the Hunter Region, on Lake Macquarie in NSW, Australia.

I came very close to buying a 2020 Triumph Bonneville T120SE especially after watching this video many months ago and many times. I too enjoy MY Royal Enfield with no windscreen, just the open road, the freshest of air, bugs and all. I'm happier than I've been in years and this video, and others, is partially to blame. Thank You! I keep this video on my Fav Vid's Playlist so I can easily find it again and hopefully sharing it with other free souls of the road.

This really expresses my own feelings about what pulled me to motorbikes. It shuts the nagging world out. And its raw! And we don't live forever. Im Quite happy to sacrifice a boring life early to gain the feeling of freedom on a bike on the open road and feeling the sun wind and rain on my face before i decompose in the ground...

Just finished riding from bali to east java and spend 1 weeks to explore little bit of east java, spend 1200 km on the road with kawasaki W175TR. All you said in this video are true, spend most of all my time in raining condition but always enjoyed the journey. What a great adventure can't wait for my next adventure

Absolutely loved the video. The script was amazing, music was very subtle, all the different camera angle you used were perfect. I know how much effort you put in. Your opening was really good, drone shot & engine roaring sound slowly easing in before the bike appears. Can't wait for the summer ..
