*I missed this, it is not a bug, patch notes:* With the release of 3.23.1, we wanted to provide players with a less brutal experience when getting back into action. To help with this, we are making all Medical Bed Tiers be capable of being set as a regen location. The range at which you will be able to respawn in them will depend on their size class. - T3 medical beds will allow respawning up to 20km away - T2 medical beds (which previously allowed respawning up to 20km) will now allow respawning up to 50km away Wow thank you so much Chris and CIG! (did hell freeze over?) Thats because the info for the ship is outdated. Its from a time before they decided that beds will need to be a certain tier to respawn. And being everybody bought the red they needed to change the bed to a lower tier so people would buy the more expensive ships with higher tier beds. Like i said in my post: CIG is so Predictable its almost a joke, actually they are transparent like glass, you can see right thru the facade into the greedy underbelly.

@heru_ur6017 of course it is outdated, but this is the second google hit if you google "Cutlass Red" Is it asked too much for a 700 million dollar company to keep their website updated? What if someone reads this and then decides to buy a Cutlass Red? CIG cannot even get the ship matrix updated, they never remove any errors.

@@Camural They leave it like that on purpose, new players read it, buy the ship and then find out too late it no longer works like they thought and then its too bad. Chris got his money and too bad for them. Getting a refund out of CIG even inside the 30day window is a struggle, i know, i had to suffer through it myself.

After seeing this in the PTU I also checked out the Pisces Rescue. Its med bed lets you set spawn there currently also.

The "bug" of being able to respawn in the Medursa will last until the sale is over. Not long after CIG will "discover" it and remove it.

Something a certain developer studio has a lot of :) If CIG lets this in and removes it after sales are over, they would have reached a new low. My guess: CIG will remove the ability to spawn in a Mursa before the sale starts. Edit: I was wrong it is in the patch notes, I missed it, sorry.

This happens way too often in CIG's ship (and vehicle) sales. A ship will fly faster when it is first released, or shields will be better, or the medical bed will allow respawn. After sales, the rug is pulled out when CIG fixes the "problem" and the new ship or vehicle drops down to average performance. The same deceptive practice over and over again.

Its also working for the C8R so its not limited to the Ursa. There was a IC case that was archived by CIG that said spawning in the C8R was a bug. They replied saying it wasn't.

Interesting. Ursa isn't that much smaller than the C8R but I guess it will still fit in some vehicles the C8R can't. And it can get closer to the AA defended facilities.

They're finally implementing Modularity and instead of saving the bed for the regular Ursa as a module and freeing up the ship team to do more important work we get a new ground vehicle and we still don't have roads in cities. Never change, CIG. Never change.

The Ursa was never advertised as a modular vehicle, why would it change now? We've always had modular ships and non-modular ships, those are part of the pros and cons to each, and it's extremely rare for smaller ships and vehicles to have modularity at all.

I would love if they kept this with some tweaks so it could be like a Planetside 2 Sunderer. That vehicle can anchor itself, becoming immobile, but supporting respawns. If CIG did similar and disabled respawns while in ships it would be very useful but balanced. The Valkyrie, Connie, C2, Liberator and other vehicle carriers would greatly benefit.

This isn't a bug. CIG will allow this until enough people have bought one with real money. Then they'll nerf it. Although, doesn't the Pieces still work? Maybe they'll leave it in for a while since the vehicle is so limited.

You missed out on some closet doors you can open underneath the bed terminal screen. But they contain nothing sadly. And yeah, if there is one thing CIG is known to be very fast for ? It's patching out any undesirable things for them. (which is kinda sad really) No doubt before this hits Invictus sale next week that "feature" will be gone.

Dear @Camural: I tested and on the current PTU Testserver, this seems to be a "problem" / "Feature" with all T3 Beds, as Pices C8r in this version also has the option to set imprint, and it also works as a respawn. I also believe, that CIG will fix it as a bug, but a mobile Resawnpoint with C8r, Cutlass Red or Nursa would still be nice :)

Even if they remove the respawn ability I guarantee you everyone will still be buying one. Mainly for the fact that most ships cannot reliably load a C8R Pisces, at least without risking damage. A Rover can fit on quite a few ships.

i hope so , that is how they advertise it. made my last mission to the facilities fun, drove it to the facility , used the canon to blow away the npcs guarding it , hoofed it the rest of the way and when i died i respawned at the entrance of the facility instead of all the way at my ship parked 10 ks away.. it has uses. i like it and i bought one./

This has an excellent use case. It makes any ship that can carry an Ursa a great bunker runner. Neither the C8r nor the Cutlass Red could approach a hostile bunker with active turrets so u'd still have to land some distance away and walk in , unless u also had a STV or now a Pulse. With this , any ship that can carry an URSA can have medical facilities right outside the door.

Great for rescue missions where you don't want to blast the turrets too. You can drive in, sneak to avoid guards, perform the rescue, and get out. All with no CS.

Just for information, there is an Issue Council about the C8R, which allows for respawns (STARC-112859 - Pisces Rescue Med Bed allows for Respawns).

Idk, it makes the game more arcade, death more meaningless, these are already issues with the 890J & Carrack. If they commit to this route, then its becomes nearly a sea of thieves situation where death is not that impactful. Granted, unlike in Sea of Thieves you dont respawn with fresh gear, so you would be limited to the amount of gear you bring with in a PvP situation, but this is a really fine line we are walking.

I can play an entire week with a teir 3 injury currently, no need for a tier 3 med bed. From my experience a tier 3 injury is nothing but a color on the screen and every one hits a station within that amount of time at least once.

@@Camural nerf 1 month after a sale is the normal rule that CIG follows. Just like nerfing salvage and increasing in game ship prices was done in the patch a week prior to the Invictus sale.

That's almosr at "take my money already" because who doesn't want a med bed in a Corsair. I note that respawn keft you in skivvies so there are downsides, its fine being alive again but if you cannot reach your gear you have new problems!

I really hope CIG is actually planning a multifaceted immersive game, not just the bad shooter whose elements currently are central in development. Take time on a ground expedition, exploring, mining, hunting, living rough. Maybe I meet with my Org and hunt pirates on the weekends. "Hey Chuck, just pick me up at the nearest mining outpost." After a some multicrew or team work hitch a ride back, respawn my Ursa (maybe with a mining module?) and trudge off into the wilderness. I mean someone takes the time to detail planet/moon surfaces and I have seen a few surprises in my travels... well worth it. Salvage, mining... hauling... there's a LOT of potential in this game. But CIG is going to go where the money and attention is.

Yes, the procedural tech planet is the best thing of SC but they do nothing of it ... They want their game to be composed only of static manually done locations and mocaped actors. In fact, Chris wants SQ42. SC seems to be a side project for him so they do not do the systemic game it needs to be.

I do not think it was a mistake by CIG to allow you to spawn in the med URSA. They will not say anything at the moment, When people see this this will spark a buy and later CIG will remove the feature. Still the Med URSA is smaller then the PX8 med so it will fit in a lot of ships etc and good use for bunkers.

they literally said in the patchnotes that this is an intentional change. It's not a bug (for once) but you can be ensured they will nerf the hell out of it after the sale ends since 20km respawn range on T3 and 50km on T2 beds is insane, even considering that you no longer spawn with any basic replacement gear.

All the med beds should allow regeneration... it should not be gated to really expensive large ships... they can't get down into the caves or stealth into hot areas. Those big ships should be able to heal high tier injuries and perhaps allow more players to set them as regeneration points... but the current regime is impractical.

I mean yall realize that medical gameplay is only 15% done imho. What medic doesn’t need an ambulance or a life flight chopper? eventually lots of changes will come. With new star systems coming and new destinations, caves, distro centers, we will need this mobile medivac. There is a lot more to do in medical gameplay

As he said in the video, this is likely a bug, if not a mistake by whoever programmed the bed in the rover. They have repeatedly removed respawning from ships after the fact. Don't go buying this thinking you will have a respawn rover for life lol

I am all for a medvac ursa, it will be perfect in my Starrunner. But.. It makes ZERO sense that a cutlass red which is way bigger is unable to. Also what would be the purpose of the Apollo/ Trigard whatever the med ships are called. Literally this tiny ground vehicle removes any practicality of them

@@DerKilianist I'll even give you a better answer. At the release of 3.23, there was a bug whereas, when you tried to drink a beverage, you could only do the one sip at a time. You could not hold "F" and chug-alug the drink down. This bug was reported and the devs fixed it. Now if you drink a beverage, the character chug-alugs the drink down and you can't take sips! This was done by someone that does not know how the gameplay is supposed to happen.

CIG will learn about this bug 4 weeks after sales are over and remove it. Have to keep an eye on refund window of course 🙂

Carrack can hold one and the c8r ......its more of a medical ship than the medical ships lol

The most medical ship is actually an exploration ship and the most medical ship that's comming out in the "near" future (apollo) can't fit a snub or an ursa let alone both ....and besides that the galaxy with medical module again can't carry an ursa but can I believe fit pisces ...only other medical ship I've seen is the endevour and that's insane

@@michaelcacace1414 I’m afraid they’re completely killing medical gameplay with this notion. That gameplay drew me to SC as I’m a retired medic , but why set a beacon when you can backspace right back into play? LOL just like insurance now dictates medical care in the states , marketing is designing SC gameplay. It’s annoying. I also think they’re opening a can of worms legally if they nerf this after a sale. Especially with European laws. I was annoyed when I heard devs talking about changing the tier of bed in the carrack.

@warren3174 the way I see the future of the game is people won't start off in a spaceship they will start hand mining or working in refinerys and what not , then saving to get a ship and making a profit will be tough for unestablished players I see them no longer selling ships on their website but making a profit on selling auec and I think in the future armor and weapons will be "expensive" soo people would rather wait for med help vs backspacing same as ship repair but as for med ships medical gameplay needs a mini hospital ship with pisces and ursa small enough to land and big enough to park outside of orbit out of battle for large battle medical needs

@obiincs since 3.23 ground vehicles gotten a lot more expensive. And of course Mursa won't be sold for a while in game for aUEC.

Seriously not really recognizable as a medical unit from the outside. That makes it a target in any combat situation. Especially, when considering a growing number of red pirate skins... Well, an Ursa with a medical bed.

I think the medical variant shouldn't get a top mounted turret though. Maybe a spotlight, but having the armed turret makes this think just better than a base ursa

Glad this is back. Makes medical runabouts more than hydration stations. I think the range is a bit much for tier 3. Should not be able to respawn outside the AO for tier 3. T2 like carrack should not be expected to land in the hot zone. But T2 should not be in orbit either. Would like to see a 10km range for T3 and 30km range for T2.
