3.6L pentastar spark plug valve cover gasket replacement

I am in the process of replacing the 4 overhead cams, rocker arms and lifters in a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country 3.6L Pentastar engine and I recommend to watch these 2 videos
• Chrysler/VW 3.2 and 3....
• 2014 Chrysler Town & C...
There is a special tool you can buy to remove these spark plug gaskets but I didn't have time to wait.
Hammer aka air ratchet, 21MM socket and 1-1/8" socket worked for me.
It is a PCV valve (auto), not PVC valve (plumbing) ... I get the letters mixed up all the time.

This is the easy part. Getting the wiring loom and hoses out of the way, to take the cover off is the hard part. If I ever have to do it again I'll post it on youtube, as I haven't seen this.

Thanks for watching #JesusLovesYou and it is a PCV Valve - positive crankcase ventilation not PVC Lol!

Note - I did replace all 4 cams, eBay made in china but USA shipper and they looked just like the OEM. 284,000 miles and running strong. I used Elgin rocker arms and lifters, they come in a kit.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I thought these would be a simple O ring. Do these seals have to be replaced every time the valve cover comes off? Thanks again.

I imagine there is a suggested maintenance mileage for replacing these although I don't know what that would be. This engine at the time had 225,000 so I just replaced all gaskets at the time I did this.

I have a plug stuck it's not tighten up or coming out my guess is stripped and there is oil around it.

Bad rockers arms so as I replaced those and replaces all lifters, cams.... I just went through to replace gaskets, oil cooler, plugs, coils since I was already in that far. Fun project

I have to say I do like this 3.6 Pentastar engine. Easy to work on and I have over 282,000 miles runs like a champ with no oil usage. JesusLovesYou

I searched my purchases in different online outlets but I couldn't find where I got the set. These would come with the valve gasket set with all gaskets for the valve cover. Amazon, eBay, Advance Auto, I look for the best deal and product rating. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

Sorry for delay response, I didn't get a notification on your question. From what I remember the valve cover closest to the front was a little challenging but take your time. I believe I tap around it with a rubber mallet until it was loose.
