It looks like she (a) is keeping their hands down. In the martial arts that I do, they tell us to ALWAYS keep our hands up, over and over again. Please give a proper explanation on how to do this in a sparring match.
@HwarangSam4 ай бұрын
There are reasons for the different guards. Often times the hands coming down are an issue but in some situations it can be favorable or not much of a factor. For Olympic style taekwondo sparring it is common to see lower guards since most shots are directed towards the body while head shots can be avoided with leaning and the lower arms are a more natural position for counter balancing when kicking. However, this is not a good habit when crossing over to other striking styles that target the head by allowing punches to the head since the arms are close to the head. The low guard, even within tkd sparring, is a bad habit in the beginner-intermediate levels where reading an opponents intention and gauging distance has not yet been mastered
@HwarangSam4 ай бұрын
I’ve also made a satirical sketch showing several professional bouts in kickboxing where the guard was perfectly up but the knock outs still happen. Although, “hands up” is a common phrase people say, it doesn’t account for other elements of defense and isn’t the end-all be-all solution for defense. It is, however, a good place to start.

Hello, sir. I'm sorry to tell you, but you are in a big confusion. You are confusing the concept of strategy with tactics. The presented combinations are just technical elements that fall under the realm of tactics. They could only have some connection to strategy if you verbally or in writing mentioned that they belong to a pre-established plan or strategic approach. Simply presenting these technical-tactical combinations does not relate to the actual strategy itself.
