First priority: full-spectrum sunscreen (in other words, one with iron oxides to battle blue light as well as ingredients to protect against UVA and UVB rays). Second priority: A decent moisturizer that is cosmetically elegant enough that you will actually use it and is formulated for your skin type. Third priority: I'm torn between Vitamin A (tretinoin or a retinoid) and Vitamin C serum (OK, Vitamin C product, but I favor serums). Now I'm curious and will watch to the end to see if I got it right.

Got 2/3 (retinol and sunscreen!). Didn't expect ceramides but with hindsight, it should have been obvious considering that it's probably the only skin-identical ingredient that can be somewhat replaced with skincare products (unlike collagen or hyaluronic acid). I really like the term "graceful aging." Call me weird but I personally get a little bit uneasy when someone who is over 50 years have no sign of aging at all (especially when they don't even have sunken cheeks) because it feels like they're just not human but that's just me. I would like to see that sunscreen video for sure!!

You didnt say about adapalene. Guys if you dont know, you can find over the counter another cheap retinoid- the adapalene(differin). It's also a good anti-ageing and good for acne.

I read that is seems to work as well as tretonoin and seems to be better tolerated, but has a lot of drug interactions including with vitamin A. Just something to keep in mind if you use a daily supplement for example. It also has interactions with Saint John's Wort, but honestly it feels like everything interacts with SJW. Lol Thanks for the tip! I'll probably wait until I've run out of my multivitamin to try it. 🙃👍
@Galina14
@Galina14 3 жыл бұрын
@@SSNUTHIN Hi! I know that vitamin A is forbidden if you are pragnant or you plan to be, but I read for a lot of time about it, and never read about negative interaction with some internal medication(if we are speaking about differin, and not accutane). I started to use differin because my doctor prescribed me, but didnt told me about interaction with another vitamins or stuff(in my country is not over the counter :(( )And this is a big coincidence, but I drink every evening SJW tea. About SJW I now only that decrease the effect of birth control pills. Regarding the adapalene, I had a bad purging because of it, but I tolerated very well(no iritations, no redness or flaky skin). I really recommande everybody for acne. It can be worse at the beginning and I had to wait 4 month to see some results in my acne. It's important to have a very good hidration and a good skincare routine. But if you want to feel safe, wait to finish your multivitamins, and then go ahead and stick with it.

I’m 33 and have started using a retinoid, however I have sensitive skin that has always been acne-prone. Can I use the Paula’s Choice AHA & BHA solution followed by The Ordinary’s Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane? I’ve been afraid of overloading my skin, so have been using them on alternating days.

I feel responsible for the discovery of Ceramedx 🤚🏻😌 lol. Dr. Dray introduced them to me, and I SLATHER their body lotion on my face! Like that ingredient list is too good to be true.

Hi Cassandra! Thank you for all your informative videos. I was wondering if you can give some information on Olay products. I had already purchased some before I discovered you and I really don’t want it to go to waste but I also want to make sure I’m using quality products. Thanks!

I am in my 30s and of course I have to start a retinoid, but everyone is talking like it would be so easy..Nowadays many women in their 30s start having children,so for many of us, our 30s is the time when we get pregnant and breastfeed our babies. And...we cannot use retinoids :( . And no one is talking about this..Please give us some affordable alternatives..

I'm upset about this too! I'm turning 30 this year, pregnant and want several kids. If I'm going to be knocked up or breastfeeding back to back for the next 6-8 years then I can't even start on trentinoin until I'm nearly 40! I guess fuck me, right?

I think it’s all about preventing premature aging by taking care of your skin! I started developing fine wrinkles at 21 - too early!- during a really stressful time in my life and I wish someone knowledgeable had helped me back then (I was using skincare that was not appropriate for my skin. Thankfully I found you now :)

Thank you! Very good info & I signed up with dermatica. I’ve never taken “proper” care of my skin. But I’ve been wise, I was gifted my mom’s DNA, I do not look 52 and am aging gracefully 😊
