The ladder in the Braxton Creek trailer could be on rails so it could slide right and left like a library ladder, then lock into place. I'm 6'1" so I have to sit in the wet baths when I shower.

I really appreciate that you pay a great amount of attention to detail when reviewing these units. I can see a couple with a small child using one of the first two in your review but for me, I think the The Gulfstream would be the ticket. If I may make one suggestion, I'm glad to see the tub/shower combo in the Gulfstream but I think it would be nice to mount a grab bar or two strategically, so that we old folks don't lose our footing getting in an out of the shower. 19" is a pretty good drop! Thanks!

As a disabled old folk, I would definitely appreciate a grab barbor I prefer just a shower stall. I realize the tub is an ideal option for anybody with small kids so I understand why they put it in there.

I posted in an earlier video you made that we bought the Rove Lite 14 FD with the dinette in the front. We preferred that setup as it also had a couch to sit and eat at. We removed those cushions on the dinette putting a real bed full time there. A narrow 20 inch by 38 inch table with folding legs we use to eat at the couch when bad weather doesn't let us eat outside. The TV is stored flat on the bed when traveling but sits on the back counter top to watch. This unit also has two counter tops that the microwave/TV can be put on ether. We have a furnace in ours and a fire pit we can always make outside? I am 6 ft tale and in the shower I sit to do my hair but stoop stand to do other. Here in the Lake Tahoe area it would be too cold to use the outside shower, LOL. Our dry weight was 1,700 lbs and with all our added stuff/food/freshwater tank full, it weighs 2,275 lbs. I tow it with my 2014 four door short bed with cap 4x4 Tacoma and the last trip we did in the Eldorado County wine country with no level roads, I averaged 14 mpg. When traveling East from Tahoe, I average close to 18 mpg on level roads keeping the speed below 65 mph. The fact that it is only 8 ft tall and 6 ft 6 inches wide is less forward wind resistance driving. We store a spare tire, an extra propane tank, a 2 ft by 3 ft by 2 ft high storage box with extra trailer supplies and a folding table/two folding chairs. in the pickup covered bed.

When it comes to a wet bath, I'm really OK with it because I'm slightly handicapped (2 very bad knees and a spine like spaghetti...lol) and I use a shower seat in my shower at home, so having to sit in the shower is no, pardon the pun, Handicap....and the other use for the seat is also to SIT, sort of...lmao. Thanks for the great videos, and infotainment...I only really watch 2 R.V. type video's you and "Josh the R.V. Nerd" from Bish's R.V....he's my go to and you guys are very helpful back up info....so thanks again to you and Susan.

Since our tours are more of a brief introduction to a TT floor plan, we always say, is you see a model you like check with Josh or Matt to see if they have a more detailed review for further research. We have the same model! I have tried to start a Facebook page for Rove owners but not really sure how to finish setting it up. Lol. We also build a aluminum box that my husband welded to the front hitch and a lot of our stuff goes in there. And he will mount of the spare tire to the top of the black box. We take our ninja foodie with us so we don’t need a microwave and I have a pit boss griddle grill that we use outside and electric tea kettle for tea so we’re all set!

Nice video RVB, the only good thing about wet baths is that it's better than not having a bathroom at all. Bought my particular 2017 Keystone small single axle bunkhouse trailer specifically because of its dry bath that included a bath sink with nice counter space and cabinet plus a mirrored medicine cabinet very similar to the 3rd Gulf Stream model in your video. Most of the other bunk trailers looked at then with the exact same floorplan lacked a sink in the bathroom, often just a tub & toilet.

Here in the Lake Tahoe area it would be too cold to use the outside shower, LOL. We added an extra large battery.

I really enjoy your videos! It's great that these trailers can be towed by mid-size SUVs. Personally, as someone who is NOT on the slender side, the third one would be my choice. Having a larger bathroom and sleeping area would be more comfortable. The kitchen is great. One or two stove burners and a microwave is about all I use in my home at this stage of my life! ☺ Still, all are great for a couple of days at the lake, etc.

Of the 3 trailers you showed in this video, the last one, The Gulf Stream, is the best. A decent sized DRY bathroom, lots of counter space, more headroom with the a.c. on the roof The only thing as a minor problem would be the bed. If the trailer was a foot longer they could have rotated the bed 90 degrees and made it a walk around bed…. Great video as usual.

I like the constructive criticism you’ve started to do. I totally agree - the sink in the first unit is very small and should have a single handle for temperature, the burner should be both recessed for added counter space when not in use and ideally front-to-back vs. side-by-side for even more counter space. Lastly, agree that’s strange the fridge opens the wrong way as a default.

I like the Rove Lite best. It is heavy on electric so you will need to plug in or have a robust battery bank installed. It's nice that is has the solar option. For cooking we like 2 burners and have not ever used 3 at once. I have used my propane oven many times, so I consider that a good addition if possible. We never use a microwave and removed ours. My husband built in a wine rack and we put a small lamp next to that to better use the space :)

A great presentation! One burner is fine just have an electric skillet. Counter space is the most important along with of a roomy shower. I use a spring rod to keep the shower curtain from hitting my %#. I love looking out of my big window in my FXS at the picnic area. Lastly for anyone who cares I made my kitchen bench seat slidable for a longer bed. It extends into the doorway slightly but the extra 3 inches is nice for tall teens. I do think these designers should make the table and benches extend to accommodate 4 for breakfast or rainy day dinners. 🙂

When it comes to the burner arrangement, like everything in life, it's a trade off. Across the counter takes up more space. Front to back becomes a hazard if you have to reach over the front burner to stir the content or add ingredients to the pot/pan in the back burner.

I feel like the first RV feels cramped because the bathroom placement really closes off everything. But I really like that dinette. I do wish the ladder was retractable and could clip into the frame under the top bunk because that passthrough access from the bottom bunk IS AMAZING. I'm such a clutz, I can imagine that being a really awkard situation for me with the ladder being there. I really like both the Rove Lite and the Kingsport. I do wish the Rove had a double cooktop though. Not a deal breaker. That fire place.... I can imagine so many past trips where that would've been so nice. My family likes to go out in the fall when the mornings are COLD. :D BUT I LOVE the extra storage the Kingsport has. The extra footage and the way it's laid out would allow me to have longer trips. I would also be able to have my sister and her son sleep in there when they come comping. I do have 2 poodle mixes and they attract SOOO much dirt so I actually really love that bathtub. :D It's really hard to keep them clean. I bring a little outdoor shower set up for them and sometimes, it's just too cold or if they figure out how to escape, it's a bigger mess (wet zoomies + dirt) so I just brush them out the best I can but it's still not very effective. I worry about burs and other harmful things getting stuck in their fur or skin. Having a bathtub would be really helpful and not something I'd expect to find.

You can take the shower sitting on the toilet I prefer it that way. The stove burner is ok where it’s at if you need more counter space just place a tray or a cutting board over the sink. As far as the ladder is concerned you can make it to slide out of the way. For the short doorway just attach padding along the archway.

Just wanted to add my .02…my wife and I looked at the rove 14FL extensively. We spent basically a whole day and another half with it. The bed it just unbearable with two people in it. The dinette is extremely small. We thought about turning the wet bath into a closet since the trailer basically has zero storage. There is a teeny tiny luggage door on the outside but no chairs or anything would fit inside. I really like the size but the use of space just isn’t good. We ended up with a Geo Pro 15tb

I posted in an earlier video you made that we bought the Rove Lite 14 FD with the dinette in the front. We preferred that setup as it also had a couch to sit and eat at. We removed those cushions on the dinette putting a real 74 inch by 54 inch bed full time there.

We never use a micro-wave when camping or a tv(we have the whole world outside to look at). do like the air conditioner, the fireplace while it seems like a neat idea, it would have to go too.. The 1st one i liked it until u opened the door. It needed to be gutted. the whole front of that camper would make a better place for a kitchen and wet bath. i think it is too small for 4 people.

Bunkbed should have been a slider that can be locked in place either right middle or left allowing it to be more flexibility

Great video. Thanks. I honestly DO think... that a small camper would be better equipped if it has a microwave. If you want to heat up a simple glass of black tea, or a good cup of morning coffee? It is tough to beat a microwave for speed and convenience. I vote to install it just to the right of the air conditioner.

I like the 3rd, but it's also the heaviest. Have you seen/reviewed an R Pod 189? I love that little guy! We almost got one, but I'm not sure I can handle a trailer. My husband is blind and we have a Dodge Grand Caravan.

@@pattijohnson8197 the geo pro and e pro for forest river are lighter then the rpod. But I have seem all three pulled by a caravan. The trailer manufacturer for the TAG and TAB, Casita, Skamper, trailers are also lightweight. Mind you these won't all be the biggest trailers but they will have everything you want inside of the trailer. I hope that gave you some hope and a path.

I have a Jeep Renegade, an have been told I could pull 2000 to 2500 lbs. I'm unsure if trailer #2 would be possible. I like that there are no doors on the cabinets, making it lighter. I'm really liking this trailer. I never wanted a TV in it. I use a tablet to watch shows.

We have the rove travel trailer. It’s a 22 ft. It’s only 14 feet. And I am already very disappointed that they came out with one with more storage a little bit longer and a few more features. We do have the instant hot water we have the power awning and it did come with the solar hook up. No solar but it does have to hook up, so there’s a few things that we have we like. We took it out on our first trip last weekend and my husband sat on the end of the bed and the slats broke. Thankfully we were 30 minutes from home & he had to go home the next morning get all the wood and the tools to actually repair the bed and make it safe and secure for us. It was a little tight with a large dog and a small dog and two people because we didn’t have our screen room. We leave in a few days for the mountains and we now have our screen room so it will be much easier because the dogs will be out there a lot! We also got a topper for the bed because it is a little uncomfortable but if you have bad backs it’s a little rough. Also on our first trip the Hook closure to keep the refrigerator closed and secure during travel broke. It’s a little screw I guess and we couldn’t even find out so my husband has to put a bigger one in that will keep the refrigerator door securely closed. We didn’t have to use the heat but we did use the AC and it worked great. It was nice and cool the week and we were out and we mainly had the windows open and the fantastic fan on but at night we did put the air conditioner on mostly for the noise. It’s going to be pretty cold up in the mountains so we’re going to take a little electric heater and not use the propane.

I did worry about how the panels will support the bed when we put a real mattress in place full time. I cut a 4 by 8 ft 1/4 inch sheet of plywood down to 73 by 54 inches to go over the existing panels for more support. The dinette cushions were not comfortable. We sometimes boon dock so I carry an additional propane tank in my Tacoma pickup bed as we use the furnace. We have two Shetland sheep dogs and they love sleeping under the bed on their dog beds. We are enjoying our trailer and hope you have a great trip.

@@brucesteger2699 our little Scotty loves sleeping under the bed, in his little bed! But my SPOO has to be near me. She is my service dog and is not usually more than an arms length away! We have a foam topper as well as a dual heated mattress cover, so expecting this next trip to be much more comfy! He reinforced the skates all the way around as well. Happy camping to you as well!

If that Braxton Ladder has to be there to support the weight of the person on the bunk, I would remove it, and then reattatch it with a Hinge at the top, so you can lift it out of the way, then put it back down so you know it's still going to do it's job.
