What settings are you typically using on your Hobart 140 to weld the nuts down. I've got the same machine with limited luck. Also, what magnets did you use? The ones I have are WAY too strong to use for this project (84lb hold).

Hello, I pretty much use the same settings for most of what I do ( 55 wire speed, 4 v ). The magnets were about 1" x 3/16" Ceramic, but coated, picked up locally.

@@gariesgmail I picked them up at a local hardware store, but I’m sure Amazon will have them. They’re about 1” in diameter by 1/8” thick.

@@axcreates_official Thanx for the advice :) I googled after posting the comment, there is a local online store that have similar sizes, so will try them ;) Unfortunately ordering on amazon is actually very expensive in my country, and my local hardware store doesn''t keep neodymium magnets. Make sure you keep the neodymium magnets from heating up. They lose magnetism when exposed to temps >200 degrees Celsius
