I was looking for a solid steel ball and I could not find one but I came across of another idea which requires a bit of work but it’s cheap and easy . I bought a “Flat sided Tow Ball - 50mm( 2 inches) and I am going to machine it down to achieve the same design like you did and I am going to use M 16 hex nuts ,pretty solid . Just for those who struggle finding the solid steel ball ,by the way it cost me $12 ,very cheap - brand new .

Socket with ball is great idea, but 99% job you do with your gripper you do on bench grinder. You need to have very special job for this grip.

Awesome invention, one small suggestion is put flat metal piece weld and keep becuse if you tigjten the rjis instrument in the wooden table it make mark as well as day togather that particular place wood chip off.

This was just an old steel ball I had laying around, it was 1 1/2”. But you can get them on Amazon. Thank you for watching. 👍

Those are two different welding processes. GTAW is where I manually add filler metal. It’s a much cleaner weld, but can be a little more difficult tack welding small parts. GMAW is the other process. I sometimes use this process because it’s easier to tack weld parts together when working by yourself . This process also produces a clean weld. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching.

На зажимном хомуте, что корпус дрели зажимает, зачем обе гайки с резьбами? Одна гайка должна быть без резьбы. Инструмента на миллион, а понятия механики никакого.

Хорошая точка зрения. Но вы не продеваете через него один метр стержня !! Он только проникает внутрь и наружу около 0,5 сантиметра, и работает нормально.
