@lmtn
@lmtn 5 ай бұрын
If you need to extinguish a fire in a situation like this, it is important to follow proper safety procedures. Here are some general steps you might consider: Close the air supply: If your system has a way to control the air supply (like dampers or vents), close them to reduce the flow of oxygen to the fire.

@@SuperSamwil since you saw his video I assume you can watch YT easily. There are literally hundreds of different takes on these waste oil burners. Many are just made from scrap stuff laying around as garbage. Watched many myself for lots of great ideas and figure out how to make one with the scrap stuff available to each individual. don't have to weld or need any skill. You can make on out of almost anything, an old brake drum, paint can or a dog bowl can work. Don't even need a fan for it to work. Just have it vent well and they sound like a jet engine, burn very clean kick off lots of heat with very little fuel used

Have you tried running 2 rows of holes in the burner with the holed drilled at an angle to create a spiral to atomize the fuel may stop it from pulsing . Other idea is to add a flame ring
@Errol.C-nz
@Errol.C-nz Жыл бұрын
The pulsing is from too slow air flow causing a backdraft effect.. the burner jets need to be higher above the air intakes to help for a stronger convection draft

Nice! Does it burn without soot and smell?
@lmtn
@lmtn 7 ай бұрын
I'm glad you're interested in the heating system! The absence of soot and odor when burning depends on various factors, including the type of fuel and the efficiency of the combustion process. If the system is designed and operated effectively, it can minimize soot and smell. However, it's important to note that when using waste oil or other unconventional fuels, there might still be some potential for odor and soot, especially if the combustion isn't optimized. Regular maintenance and proper setup can help reduce these issues. If you have more specific questions or if there's additional information you'd like to know about the system, please feel free to ask, and I'd be happy to provide more details. 😊🔥👃

Hey. I want to do something like that, but to my five. The chamber will be max about 170/180mm and I don't know what a pipe and a tee diameter will be better - 1 or maybe 5/4 of inch? Bigger pipe is easier to push the air from fan I thing? Cheerio ;) Sorry for my english :P It's not my native language ;)
@lmtn
@lmtn 3 ай бұрын
No need to apologize for your English; you're doing great! When it comes to choosing the pipe and tee diameter for your project, there are a few factors to consider. Airflow: You're correct that a larger pipe can handle more airflow. If you want to maximize air circulation and heat distribution, a larger diameter pipe, like 1 inch or 5/4 of an inch, might be a better choice. Fan Capacity: The size of the fan you plan to use can also influence your decision. Make sure the fan's capacity matches the chosen pipe diameter to ensure efficient airflow. Available Space: Consider the available space in your setup. A larger pipe might require more room, so make sure it fits comfortably within the chamber you mentioned (170/180mm). Heat Transfer: A larger diameter pipe can distribute heat more effectively, but it may take longer to heat up initially. Consider your specific heating needs when making this choice. Ultimately, the choice between 1 inch or 5/4 of an inch will depend on your specific requirements and constraints. Experimenting with both sizes may help you determine which one works best for your project. Good luck with your endeavor! 😊🔥

Can you explain the engineering decision on why the hole of size 3mm
@lmtn
@lmtn 6 ай бұрын
The decision to use a 3mm hole size in this context may be influenced by several factors, but it's important to remember that the specific engineering decisions can vary based on the design and objectives of the project. Here are some potential reasons for using a 3mm hole: 1. Combustion Control: A smaller hole can help control the rate of combustion by regulating the air intake. It may be part of a design that aims to achieve a specific burn rate to maximize heating efficiency. 2. Fuel Atomization: A smaller hole can aid in breaking down the waste oil into finer droplets, which can improve combustion efficiency and reduce emissions. 3. Air-to-Fuel Ratio: The size of the hole can influence the air-to-fuel ratio in the combustion process. A 3mm hole may provide the desired ratio for efficient combustion. 4. Heat Output: The size of the hole can also affect the heat output. Smaller holes may lead to more complete combustion and higher heat output, depending on the system's overall design. 5. Emission Control: Some systems may use a smaller hole to help control emissions, as it can lead to a more controlled and cleaner combustion process. It's important to note that the choice of hole size should be made based on the specific design goals, safety considerations, and environmental impact. Engineering decisions take into account a range of factors to optimize performance and safety for the intended purpose.

Are those crystal batteries ?
@lmtn
@lmtn 5 ай бұрын
No, they're not crystal batteries. The power source in this setup primarily relies on burning wood in a controlled manner. The use of an electric blower enhances combustion efficiency. While crystal batteries exist, they typically utilize chemical reactions in crystals to generate power, and they're quite different from the wood-burning system showcased in the video. If you have more questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to know, feel free to ask! ⚡🔥

@lmtn
@lmtn 7 ай бұрын

does the used cooking oil or used engine oil do anything with the flame for it to turn blue?
@lmtn
@lmtn Жыл бұрын
Simply put, when burning them, creating a green flame will reduce the amount of CO2 released, thereby safer for health. At the same time, more heat will be generated. That's why people are often interested in blue flame when learning about this type of stove
