Greg and Finn take their new boat down the Kootenay River in search of new adventures, fishing, camping, and foraging along the way.
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

I remembered greg from "alone", his background and trying to earn money for his daughter. After the show I had wondered about him and was happy to see him doing KZfaq videos on what he loves doing the most. Not drywall lol. Learning and being entertained with his videos now. Greg, wishing you all the best from new Jersey! Watching your videos let's me escape and feel like I am out there with you.

The man is just maybe getting old and more kind of fragile, lately he cant seem to do anything right and keeps leaving half his equipment behind,I mean even on the Survival show he had to be taken out after failing there and does he ever clean himself up?no this man is definitely no survival expert at all, maybe a Hobo loser, yes but not anything else,if it wasn't for Zachary Fowler,he wouldn't even have a KZfaq Channel, seems a nice dude but his totally out of his depth, maybe too old and getting fragile.

The "tooth" greg found at about the 30 minute mark is actually a deer foot bone. They really do look just like a tooth.

Wow i felt for sure it was actually a shark tooth that somehow found its way up river. It didn't look round enough for a bear or wolf tooth and looked flat like a sharks tooth. Very interesting im going to have to look it up too cos I've never heard of the tooth shaped deers foot bone either, very interesting.

Greg I’ve been a fan since the 30 Day challenge and I admire your knowledge of wild plants and bushcraft. But I’ve got to say the way you handle fish is hard to watch. If you can pack a drone and battery pack couldn’t you throw in a net? Anyway, still cheering for you.

I think when Finn brings a choice stick and you let him keep it that’s cool but I can’t help feel when he whimpers that he wants you to put it on the fire. Like when you throw it your saying not good enough for the fire. He likes to argue so he keeps bringing it back lol

I spent a few weeks at Canal Flats BC about 30 years ago. I met the most amazing kind people who invited me to their family camp. Generous country folk that loved living in the bush during the Summer. And lived in the Winter in a huge Quonset with a cast iron fire drum in the middle for heat. This lifestyle appealed to me and have replicated it a few times. Great memories of Canal Flats :) Thx for video recording your adventures Greg our whole family enjoys them and learns some great tips and tricks.

I enjoyed your beautiful locations/beautiful waters. Growing up near two rivers and spending a lot of time canoeing as a kid, I learned early lessons about getting dumped in cold water. Was glad to hear about the precautions you take and also about the onions. I did not know about white stalk counterfeit onions. Good to know and thank you. I'm nearing age 70, and when we were young, nobody gave you a hard time for catching and eating a small fish when you needed to eat. Lord, how times have changed. Kiss Fin for me; I am glad he is with you and that you've given him a happy life. He's a beauty. Looking forward to Part 2.

You're allowed to keep fish honest...they just have to be 120ft long to be able to catch and cook! This is totally fair and completely balanced rule that we will impose on the plebs to make sure they have the ability to feed themselves...been fishing my whole life and have never seen one 75cm lol. I think what they really mean to say is no bull trout allowed. At 45:05 you can see the pain all over Greg's face like every other person that is middle age and older. The licenses keep going up in price as well as the restrictions and its still "never enough". People can see the writing on the wall.
