Day 1 - We took the train from Ogoto-onsen Station back to Osaka city and started off at Namba Yasaka Shrine and walked our way to Dotonbori. Had lunch at Katsudon Chiyomatsu ( / chiyomatsu_osaka , ate Cremia ice cream by the Dotonbori Canal, canvassed a bunch of luxury bags and vintage stores, had coffee at Ralph’s Coffee, took photos with the view of the Glico Running Man billboard, and had sushi and drinks for dinner.
Day 2 - Had the best wagyu beef meal at Wagyu Idaten ( / wagyu_idaten ) in Dotonbori, did a little shopping in Shinsaibashi shopping street, and headed to Kuromon Market in the afternoon and ate delicious oysters, uni and salmon sashimi at Uokazu ( / kuromon_uokazu . We took the train to Nagai Park to see the outdoor exhibit of teamLab Botanical Garden in the evening. Had dessert and coffee at Sakura Coffee outside Nagai Botanical Garden and headed back to Namba for dinner at Matsuya.
Day 3 - After checking out from our hotel at Fairfield by Marriott Namba Osaka, we took the train to see the Osaka Castle. We sat at the park outside the castle grounds and had a little picnic. After strolling around Osaka Castle, we had matcha tea, matcha basque cheesecake and coffee at The Landmark Square Osaka. We had a terrible dining experience because of the rude manager but the place is really posh and the outdoor dining deck has a great view of the Osaka Castle. We then headed back to Dotonbori area for our last sushi meal at a standing sushi bar called Hidezou ( / tachizusihidezou . It wasn’t exactly the sushi place we were looking for, but this place was a wildcard. We enjoyed our meal here very much. It was our first time to try shirako which is the milt or sperm sacs of male cod. The texture and flavor is a lot similar to oysters, and it’s deliciously soaked in ponzu sauce.
