Complete gravity compensation using compressive
springs and parallel link mechanisms
- Nonsingular translational motions in 3-D space
- Max. compensation load : 22 kg
- Complete gravity compensation independent of

Wait, that compensation is done purely mechanically? That's amazing. Does that mean you could use tensioners on the springs to tune the compensation to an "arbitrary" load? This seems like it could also have applications in office furniture for people with disabilities which force them to change their position frequently. There could perhaps be contacts on the top and bottom of the corners which detect if force is being applied with the intention of moving the platform)because a hand would complete detection circuit formed by them) and else an accurate rotory encoder could log additional force which is not meant to move it(but does slightly) and have a servo adjust the spring tension to dynamically compensate for variable loading.

@@cryipticcreep5586 Oh I have no doubt that they'll run with my idea if they haven't already secured a patent for a similar modification. My particular understanding of the universe and the philosophy I've built from it prevents this sort of thing from bothering me too much. The master record will reflect that I gave more than I squandered.

@@cryipticcreep5586 No, my friend, that's pure physics. Who knows if the record is read, but gravity remembers all and tells no lies. Every subatomic particle which has mass imprints upon the gravitational field a perturbation, even "at rest"(there is no actual rest frame, all motion is relative), due to the expansion of space via dark energy. These perturbations radiate outward at exactly the speed of light and reduce intensity to infinitesimal, but _never_ to zero. All of this is a direct prediction of Einstein's theory of relativity, which has been extremely well tested and verified and all of this is to say that whether it exists for a reason or not, the master record exists. There's quite a bit of compelling evidence in physics for simulation theory as well, but that's not yet testable and thusly still the realm of speculation.
