I feel like this could have worked better on Adult Swim, with a focus on wittier jokes. But the song slaps.

This is a fantastic cartoon, can't believe CN dismissed this back in the day. I love the varied character designs, the surrealistic approach, and the music.

I'll be blunt. Cartnoon Network knew that this wouldn't appeal to kids at the time. They knew that a lot of young people would miss the musical references and adults wouldn't appreciate the sexual references (they aren't exactly subtle). HOWEVER, Adult Swim could and should pick this up and get a good following. I honestly think this cartoon deserves a second chance, and a more modern audience would much better recieve this than that when it was released.

I like how each of them kind of represents a different era and genre, in both how they look and act Sly- 70s funk/disco Stavros- 80s synth Loubie- 90s rap/hip hop it really helps make them unique and would make for some good opportunities to explore the different genres, much like Class of 3000, except even more focused specifically on catchy beats and making you dance

I can’t help but enjoy seeing a character like Sly being into bigger women. You rarely see that in cartoons or live action.

Boy this show really should've been aired. There is so much potential to have lots of fun and character development in every episode, plus a chance for them to play different forms of music every episode. Could've have lots of memorable songs, unlike that show Grojband.

Atleast they delivered strongly on their music and the party did get exciting. I was worried they were going to mess it all up. This was pretty fun and i like their personalities. The whole frankenstein bit with the shower was hilarious. The small one really gives me Parappa vibes with his dreams and visions.

Top 3 reasons this should be a series 1. The animation is so damn inviting, I think as a somewhat tribute to the 90's cartoons Dexter's lab for example. 2. The main three characters in both design and personality seem impressive, they have the potential to have an ed edd and eddy vibe bouncing off each other. 3. The music of this show is very good, sounds like the 70's, the perfect music to groove out to. in conclusion as a lover of animation this really was so refreshing to see nowadays

With how great Phineas and Ferb did, I could easily see this show being picked up. Paul Rudish’s art style has vastly improved (not to say this pilot is ugly, far from it), so seeing this with updated visuals would be great! Maybe each episode could have them doing odd jobs to fund their band and ending each episode with a new song. I wouldn’t even mind if they stuck to one genre, like Jem and the Holograms. And with Daft Punk’s retirement and rap being the dominant genre, they might even be able to stand out and actually get on the Billboard 100!

People saying this feels dated: Music from long gone eras has some serious potential. I’ve been collecting lps for years now and have always been fascinated with music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, (and on). What I’m trying to say is: People often misjudge those times, especially 60s and 70s, because the teenagers of those times are now elderly, or at least grown up. Imo those days also had their own flair. I really like the colorful shirts, bellbottom jeans and long hair, from the 60s, 70s and the futuristic, sometimes sporty, sometimes fancy clothes from the 80s. Long story short: I’m just glad to see that in a cartoon and i just love the vibe of this.

This is right up my alley. but to be honest, if this was picked up by CN, I'd imagine that there'll be these "do you remember 3 Dog Band?" or "3 Dog Band the forgotten cancelled CN show" type of videos on KZfaq talking about how it got canceled due to the lack of viewership.

The scene at 1:29 is something out of a Funkadelic music video, so awesome, this short is incredible.

These dogs are groovy. The animation is awesome I love the three dogs designs and the exaggerated classic cartoon stuff. Stuff appearing out of thin air, the squash and stretch of the characters it’s all very nice. Too bad it didn’t become an actual show. :/ oh well at least the pilots still cool

I'd honestly love if this was a series. This used to be a special interest of mine last year. Now that I love 80s synth music, this show would make me happy if it aired.

I don't know how I've never seen this until now but this was mesmerizing. Definitely would have watched this as a kid. I remember when Class of 3000 came out I didn't miss an episode. The design of this show is so cool.

I actually wish this was aired, in general the music is amazing and the art style is almost nostalgic to me reminding me of courage and like cat dog which stopped airing around that time I suppose, I know it would have been up there with them for certain. I love the flow of the art, the story in general is choppy and the composition for it is a lil eh. But if they worked on it further in a series I know they would have made it work. Such a missed opportunity, I would have definitely watched this as a kid.

I love the crazy movements in the characters! This type of kricfalusian animation is nuts, and the style of cartoon i´m most influenced by. Every character moves in such a different way to the other! This is limited animation thecniques done well! That matches incredibly right with the extremely distinct personalities of the three dogs, wich were presented and developed in creative, dynamic and cartoony ways, simply fun to watch, and while being noticeably monodimensional gave just so much potential to create infinite stories with wonderfully funny and caothic interactions... totally loved them. I´m NOT going to talk about that song... everyone knows it´s awesome. The only thing i could complain about was the lack of story... but hey, considering this is supossed to introduce a concept (wich is what pilots do) it was really smoothly narrated , and if this happened to be turned into a show, this won´t happen twice. 8/10 (Pretty darn good!)

I strongly like the premise of sapient non-human animals and humans living in the same universe and sharing a societey. There's a whole lot of positive things to say about this cartoon. It isn't my subculture of choice, but even I like the star trio, their personification, and the visual gags.
