It's true, although Sloe gin was more popular in the Victorian era than it is today, it is slowly making a comeback. Any "hipster" bar today will have a bottle of it, and it won't even be that dusty as its popularity has grown over recent years. The combination of Sloe berries and gin make this liquor incredibly unique as the "pluminess" and almost "pruny" raisin-like flavours really tame the prominent juniper notes found in gin. Because of its relation to the prune family it can really aid with digestion…. probably.
