I know what you mean! Me too like to finish ahead of time but my hands are tight, and on top of it I sprained my foot, making my tasks very difficult! And with on going chemo to my husband, he can not eat liek normal, food does not taste good, does not feel like eating so 50% of time goes in the kitchen preparing food and cleaning vessles! :-C

oh, hope you could pack without getting /feeling more sick. I will be moving to GA too from AZ as my husband is a cancer patient. Now that the oncologist suggest that he will heve to take maintenance chemo for life, I feel we need to move near our son's family. It is tought to pack caring for the 87 year old patient and myself 73 and his caregiver. No family or friends in town ti help me packing. I have some time but really feel overwhelmed to start packing and make a mess of the organised home filled with packed boxes, to be boxed items and get rid of items. And that too I have to place in the car and take the stuff to goodwill or thrift store. Well, hopefully I will complete everything before we are to move.

I bought most of them from Lowes and Home Depot. I didn't even think to check Amazon!! We had a mix of small, medium and large - but mostly small and medium so they wouldn't get too heavy

Take your time!! I was in basically the same situation (minus the being pregnant part) it can be a challenge but if you take your time, you'll get it all done. Good luck with your move!!

EVERYONE ends up with a lot of junk in their houses. The longer you live somewhere, the more you collect! Don't worry! It's normal! Plus, there is always more than you think! I have said for years, you really don't realize how much stuff you have until you have to clean out and pack up every last piece of it. Good luck and I hope it gets easier for you!

I'm curious how you did with the move. Im feeling the same way with 48 hours to get everything moved and stored.

@@faithandgrace1638 I just went at it hard and (this is bad) I drank a lot the whole time to detract from the stress and shame D: The new house is only 15 mins walk from the old house too, so I ended up carrying many huge loads by hand during the night for a few nights in a row to make it look like less stuff when my family had to help. A random lady also helped a bit which was nice of her! But mostly I just packed and packed and ended up throwing random stuff into huge rubbish bags and boxes (with no organisation) and that stuff is all in a bottom room now waiting to be sorted or dumped. As long as you have the important stuff you need for the main house that’s mostly what matters. The rest can be squashed or hidden somewhere until you can deal with it!! I am mowing the lawn at the new house now as I reply to you :D but I’ve realised we actually need to move to the city 4 hours drive away, so that’s my goal for next year. I think we will need to discard everything we own in order to be able to start again in a new place (as there’s no way we can transport all our stuff that far!) I wish I would have counted, several people have asked but I didn't. Too much going on....it was ALOT of boxes, it took several trips to the store to buy more LOL

@@WittyHarperDIY You really can't please them all 😑 I don't think you speak fast at all! Of course you put music in the video otherwise we would be listening I'm silence. KZfaq music is never my favourite but that's exactly what it is, KZfaq music. I think you did a great job, I have spent a while trying to find a video like this. Everyone sidetracks from the actual packing and talks about irrelevant stuff, but not you. Useful tips all the way throught with some general packing talk! (This is my first KZfaq comment since having KZfaq for 10+ years, so that must count for something) I can see in your comments you couldn't remember how many boxes you used, but if you could roughly guess would you say 30+, 50+. No worries if you can't remember at all just wanted a rough estimate 😉 Again great job, wish me luck!
