I’ve now dropped my R12 GTG for an R12 Thorin with 192 attack and he is now part of my A-Team - GTW Z3, Dáin Z2 and Galadriel Z2. I skill Gala as a DD too and she has done up to 106k damage.

Not switching out gear and losing the cmdr hp on chest/helm can be detrimental to survivability. Getting hit multiple times and being able to draw means your cmdr is still doing full dmg. My KOM was the only cmdr still alive and was still doing more dmg than the other formation.

Yes exactly, this is the trade off. Depends if you want max damage or max sustainability

I have made it to a solid number one spot in my kingdoms' contributions due to my pvp build im sitting around 10k. I run Balin front, then Dwalin, Gimli, Dain, all respect 10 T3 rank except R13 Dain. Run as much attack and damage on Gimli and Dain as possible and max durins blood skill on all your dwarves. then run gaurdians to soak damage as your commanders do the rest. This is my second week since update that I have 300k merit going on 400k now. I usually Draw after wiping 3 to 4 Armies sometimes when im half strength wiping full strength.

so far for what ive seen battling whales in my server the best dps commander army comp for good side is Beorn, Dain, Gtw and Gimli

Yes they are fantastic damage comms. Gimli will be included in my T2 video. Beorn I am yet to see personally, but he looks to be one of the best from his toolbox and stats.

I am using gil galad z1 gala r12 legolas r11 gtg r12 - i also have theoden imrahil, eomer and denathor r5 as a b team mounted / medium units

Sprinkle some Azru Khor into the mounted formation he’s awesome. That team looks great! But why Lego and Gtg?

I have a team of full elves: Gil (r10), Cirdan (r7), Celeborn (epic, r10) and Elrond (r10), full troop buff focussed. Would you recommend swapping Celeborn or Cirdan for GTW? And could you make a video about the best gear sets for each type of army? Loving the conetnt so far

Personally, yes I would say GTW is better than Cirdan A video for best in slot gear has been made, should release mid to late next week 🥰

I actually don't see how Celeborn fits into this formation. Indeed, all are Elves, but his R3 avoidance you won't use if you have Gil. R5 is for marchwardens mainly. Then we have the top R0 which is decent, but it gives 10 %? While the bottom R0 is probably the reason why you have him. Cirdan indeed is a lottery, but his percentages really spoken to me + chance to follow up on other formations. That's the WK level, though with % chance much smaller. I don't have the respect yet on mines, but Gtw, Gil, Cirdan and Arwen are my elven boosters I have chosen.

@@BN-pn2jkhe fits in very well... he adds attack and defense to range units... he buffs all the formations with attack for range units then defense for melee units... and also increases attack for 2 formations...

BN-pn2jk my formation has both of them and gil and elrond. Gil and elrond do over 80k damage quite often...they work really well in a formation of gil and elrond. Most of the people I know running GtW are not impressed with him. Focus damage seems to be terrible based on what I've seen on my server so far. And I'm talking about whaled GtWs

They need to give more respect reset for commanders in current season servers and option to dismantle r10 item like normal gold item !!!!

So the suggested formation if i get it right is Gil, Elrond, GtW and Dain?

Im not necessarily recommending running all these together, just that they can be very good formations to try out. Theres so many combinations currently, but I feel these are moving to the top. That being said.. that is the 4 formations im using right now and enjoying. I think the meta seems to be shaking out to be 1 tank, 1 support and 2 DD

@@TheHJWgamingmy next question is who gets the melee to soak up dmg? Since GtW and Dain have low command. And Gil & Elrond need high dmg units (usually ranged) to max dmg output.

I have him as second with GTG as my primary (L12). Dain is a Z2 and he is followed by GTW (z3) and Gala (Z1). As soon as possible I put Hobbit Ponies on him to deflect attacks away to my support commanders and he regularly does 130-165k damage time and time again.

Potentially too much support, and not enough damage in my opinion. If you are using this, I would build GTW for focus damage, not for support

Refers to formations where the commander inflicts the damage. E.g. Beorn, Dain, Gimli

I saw that you are basically having BIS but you would give up on connecting traits. Do you think that they are really important ? :/

More often than not, having the best stats on the item for the commander is more value able than the set effects

@@TheHJWgaming thank you very much, as I have BIS items but with super bad traits :/ SO I am like should I then use BIS items for strenghten and wait to "mathom" the BIS item with great trait :D

@@nhatanhvu8847 It can be dependant on the items for example. If youre using a physical damage commander, and the difference between using a best set effect or not is like 40 attack, then its a no brainer. But if its 5 attack, then the set effect could be better. Its all really situational. This is why though that 1.0 purple gear is so much better than 2.0 in most cases, as the baseline stats are so much better even without set effects. Hope this helps
