Do you use a picture profile? And how do you gage the ISO is there a number you keep it at or does it constantly change like the shutter?

No picture profile used. I shoot in manual, so the ISO, shutter speed, and aperture are all controlled by me. Makes it easy to adjust to the specific scene 👍

First at all thanks for sharing all this video. I user of a6500 so happy to watch. I have a question? Do you ever think to get full frame sensor for still photography or a6500 is good enough?

I'd love to get a full frame, and I'm actually currently saving for the a7riii. Not sure how long it will take me to save for it, so it may be the a7riv that I end up purchasing next haha; I have commercial photography clients every now and then but not enough to justify spending 5k on a new camera/lens setup at the moment. I'll answer that for you, I feel that it's all about what your gear is going to do for you. You don't necessarily have to own a full frame camera to be "PROFESSIONAL". APS-C camera's technology has gotten darn good it's almost impossible to tell the difference between them unless of course you plan on printing your work. I'm planning to buy a sony a6300 moving from the sony a77. I initially started with a canon 5dmkiii but am now in love with cropped sensors.

Just one and I did because wanna see the results but i did with no idea of what was the best import settings etc hahaha. I'm not professional...yet.....just start 1.5 years ago but i really love it and a spend all my free time on it. Or shooting or editing or learning from tutorials....so thanks to this you calm me down for go to spend a lot of money in new body camera...

You just earned a new sub. I'm so buying the a6300. If you could please do a review of the sigma 30mm 2.8 and the Tamron 18-200 VC (silver) as this is what i'll be shooting with until i can afford native sony lenses.

Great video! I use a Sony SLT a65 now but am hoping to upgrade to the a6300/6500 soon. What glass were you using, and what software do you use for post? Oh, and I LOL'ed at the zoom in of your wind-hair!

Full frame doesnt automatically mean that its better than APS-C.

So when you have sigma 16mm 1.4 (which i dont have as of writting), are you taking shot with max (zoom) of 16mm? and then play with shutter speed, iso and aperture? I still have kitlens 16-50mm and im just experimenting/playing with the zoom , iso, aperture, and shutter speed. Planning to get 16mm in the future. Great content btw! 💕

It's a prime lens, which means the only focal length is 16mm. No zoom in or out 👍

How do you get such sharp focus on the entire car? May I ask what f stop you use for it, and what focus area/mode? Great shots

was at f8 and single shot auto focus mode for the a6300. F/8 typically does a good job getting everything in focus. Sometimes I'll go to f11 but f8 gets it right almost always. So just a combination of that and putting a little extra clarity on the car in Lightroom. I actually recently did an editing video for one of the shots from this video; it goes through the process of everything if you're interested. Glad you like the photos!

I can't speak for the a7iii; it may be a little bit better in quality with it being full frame, but shooting with the a6300/a6500 has been a blast for me. I've been very happy with the results👍

Thanks!! The Sony 10-18mm f4 was used for every shot i think. There's a video about how I edited one of these shots on my channel. Just look for something titled "How to edit a Lamborghini" 👍

Thanks man! The lens I used for all shots in this video was the Sony 10-18mm f4. Great lens for automotive photography. In terms of a tripod, I'd definitely recommend you bring one with you on your shoots, but whether you need to use it or not would depend on the setting. If it's in a darker setting (parking garage, night time, etc) then yes definitely use one 👍

Could be a number of things like the lens used, f stop, any moisture or condensation on the lens etc

How much time does the a6300 battery last?

Really depends on how consistently you're shooting. It's lasted me an entire day before with battery life to spare (using for both photo and video, but not continuously). On the flip side, I just finished a job where I was literally shooting non stop and it only lasted about 3 hours.

Great shots man, but just advise I've gotten from car photographers is that you want to use a more natural looking lens when shooting cars such as a 50mm prime lens or a 85mm prime or or a 70-200mm soon lens. It's just when use a wide angle lens it distorts the natural beauty of the car that the manufacturer had in mind with that car. But fantastic pictures keep it up man

@@MiketheMathMan what are your thoughts on the Sigma 16mm F1.4? I just sold both my kit lenses that came with my A6000 to upgrade to a higher quality lens and so that i can experiment with new lenses. definitely looking for a more wide angle lens as i do, do more car photography along with landscape/ scenery. my budget is at max $500. what would be some of your suggestions if the Sigma wouldn't be your top pick?

The sigma 16mm is an incredible lens. It's great for astrophotography, and landscapes in general. Very sharp. Great bokeh and depth of field at wide apertures. It's also a lens I use to film with a lot. Less than $500 too, or it was when I picked it up. If/when you get to the point where you have extra cash for gear, I would strongly recommend the Sony 10-18 f4 as well. It's more versatile when it comes to landscapes, just due to range of focal lengths. But you really can't go wrong with the Sigma

I've been wanting this lens for about a year now and told myself if i sell my kit lenses for at least over $350 that i'd buy myself that lens. They both just sold for $375 so I'm not to far off from the cost of this Sigma. just wanted to confirm before purchase that it is well worth it. And definitely want to check out that Sony 10-18 f4 you mentioned. Do you have a facebook this way we can get better connected and i can show you a bit of my work and maybe point me in a better direction? I'm also wanting to upgrade my body to the latest Sony A6400...

Video was done with the Sony a6500 (another great camera). I choose it specifically for video because it has the in body image stabilization, whereas the a6300 doesn't. They both have the same sensor I'm pretty sure though. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks! All the photos for this shoot were taken with the Sony 10-18mm f4 👍There are a couple more automotive vids on my channel where the Sony 50mm f/1.8 is used a little more.

The a6300 is an amazing starter camera. It was the very first semi-professional camera I purchased and hasn't let me down. I'd say go for it if you have the money 👍

I'd have a lens with a semi long focal length and wide aperture, like a 50mm f1.8 or 85mm f1.4, something like that. And also a wide and angle like the Sony 10-18mm I use 👍

What a waste of a great location and a great car - all shot in super wide like looking through a hotel door :( ruins the cars superb lines and aggressive stance.
