Newbie to ninja is absolutely fabulous! I’ve been on the fence about getting Logic Pro and one of the first things he talks about is getting it free for ninety days. Sold me!

I just updated my system to an M2 pro and I’m also using the latest Logic Pro version thank you for making this series I’ve been going through it in detail. The part about software monitoring made my day I had it off and could not hear a thing until this video thank you 🙏 I was using a dinosaur Mac 2011 prior to today what a difference.

Really enjoyed #3 from "Newbie to Ninja" - well presented breakdown of such an important part of using Logic Pro: recording with a mic! I especially liked your accompanying graphics alongside the Audio tab from Settings, it really helped visualizing what you were telling us. Thanks, Chris. Looking forward to Week 2, #4-8!

Maybe you can help 🤞🏼. Ive got a new USB condenser mike that I want to use with my iMac and Logic. Ive got a small hub into which my smart keyboard goes plus the output into the Mac and an input from my audio interface - a Focusrite Scarlet 2i4. This is where I get lost. Ive got no spare USB ports on the Focusrite so Ive plugged the mike into the hub. When I do this a message appears in Logic asking me if I want to use the mikes audio interface. If I say No, I get no signal. If I say Yes, I can see the signal going into the mike and Logic but I can’t hear anything. Its as if the Focusrite has switched itself off. What am I doing wrong ? I’ve had this mike for 6 months and have never been able to use it because of the reasons above. Put it aside as it was driving me up the wall, then today I thought Id try again. Still no joy 🤷‍♂️. Very frustrating

How do you connect USB microphone to your audio interface? That looks XLR connection on your interface.

I’m trying to record voice on top of my guitar track. I have the headphones connected to an IRig and a usb microphone connected to my MAC. I’m getting a huge feedback loop. Is that set up the problem? What’s the best way to listen to my project while I record the vocals?
