Main Thing I like about the m3 other then usability and ergonomics and general feel of it. The simplicity and feeling that you are in fact using something not to speed through an enjoyable process. All the upgrades to have faster loading and faster rewind defeat the purpose to me. I agree with you that rewinding with the knob is nice, I too like that. It takes me about 6 sec. To load film in my m3 and no more then 10 to rewind. I love the double stroke on mine. Something about that even feels more like 'stepping on the gas' hahaha and getting going. I feel like these are very doable and I guess having the world move faster, getting things to people faster, consumerism on the rise, our minds being bombarded more and faster with image after image and ways to make life "more simple" all lend to the passing by of the inherent ease and beauty of having to slow down just a tiiinnnyyy bit and appreciate the tool you are using. I can't and perhaps will never understand the desire for faster basic functions..but then again, those just aren't for me. Great video. Love that dancing cat, it looked so happy.

I have these bodies and these lenses in my bag all the time. Logically, the elmarit 28 goes on the M6 with it's 0.72 finder and the 50 lux on the M3 with its significantly longer rangefinder base. Why did you make life difficult for yourself both ways? Am I missing something?

Is the “rangefinder base” longer on an M3 than an M6? I thought they were the same, which allows the same close-focusing distance. The M3 viewfinder has a 0.91x magnification, which ostensibly makes focusing 50, 90, and 135 mm lenses easier. However, the M6 TTL body can be obtained with a 0.58x, 0.72x, or 0.85x optical viewfinder (and at least the 0.85x version can be the newer MP style that doesn’t flare as much).
