Hey there Billy, ...I guess I missed this video, ... The little red cod reminded me of the little tom cod we have here on the West Coast... Stateside… but they're light in color.. almost white.. and never more than 6” … seen less and less these days… You mentioned 17-year-old reels… I found a never-been-used vintage Abu 10000c.… cleaned it, lubed it, and spooled it... Took it to the beach the other day...to let it rip... I must say, .. This reel was made for slinging large lures a long way.. and boy does it.…! Such a joy to cast... Just got another one today… the Abu 9000c.. almost in mint condition...getting some Abec 7’s... btw, .. these were made between 1965 to 1970...,I think that's pretty close to date… such a simple design and so well made….so smooth in free spool.… long spins!

Absolute awesome vids.. makes me proud to be Irish ☘️ One of the nightmares of using suncream and fishing, is, it’s absolutely toxic for fish and if they scent it on your bait, they won’t touch it with a barge-pole. I’ve been a victim. Caught nothing one day. Went out the next after having had the missus to apply it and had a great day! Tight lines bro.. keep them vids coming !

Mark 1 - Have to fish the beach to the right of it , Fished the piers around the area a fair bit and seen some really nice blonds off the beach over the years but they seem to be hit and miss. Just have to be lucky

Fun watch as always Billy. Eels seems so alien to me lol. Obviously we dont have them in central 🇨🇦 😂. That rig you used looks similar to ones I've used here for lake trout, called gorge hooks. We rig herring on them.
