Only some light off road at this point but will easily handle snow, sand, logging roads in my future… not a rock crawler. I ran that thing all the way up to 150k sold it to a kid that was running AC units in my job site and needed a truck for work. I wanted to upgrade in size and power. That kid is driving it 80 miles each way to work in a different town and it’s still going without a hiccup. I do miss it but we gotta move on sometimes. Hey, don't get a taco. The new ones just had a recall because of the real-axel coming off. Plus, the front differential broke during easy offroading; also the Ranger can tow 1000 pounds more. Pair that with the dealer markups and it is not a good buy.

@jeanclaude7018 Ай бұрын
@@brads3620 Not easy. They collected water inside and rotted away. Nissans did not. But people coddle Toyota when any other brand with the same problem would get roasted. Toyota is like the high school jock that gets away with things no one else would, because the brand has become a personal identify thing for some reason, like people who defend "their" football team no matter how crappy they perform. Strange psychological phenomenon.

@jeanclaude7018 nissans are notorious for rust lol. I had a rogue that would easily rust even inside in the driver foot well, under the seats, etc. And this was despite keeping it clean and away from water.
@jeanclaude7018
@jeanclaude7018 27 күн бұрын
@@asadb1990 Here is more of the generalization that drives me nuts. It's like the popular lie that Nissans are notorious for "bad transmissions," which is ONLY restricted to the CVT. After 50 years of driving conventional Nissan transmissions, I have NEVER been able to wear one out, and my current one has 427,000 miles. Likewise, perhaps your model was prone to rust, as was the original Z car. But among trucks, the most infamous rust were certain years of Tacoma. The actual frames, due to poor construction, rusted to the point of breaking in half, and thousands of them were completely replaced by Toyota. The Toy Boys are quick to say they have not heard of this, but it's verifiable history. No Nissan truck ever had a bad issue like this. That's why when critics try to say the new Frontier has an old frame, I say they got that boxed frame right the first time, , while Tacomas were rotting away, so why should they "fix" what's not broken?

2017 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E is the best vehicle I've owned.. Runs as tight and strong as the day I bought it.. So easy to live with and use. Two way tailgate, trunk in bed, speakers in bed, inverter in bed.. All practical to use. Radar cruise control is a life saver. Would not buy it to tow 3000lbs + loads regularly. Would not take it off road... AWD system has multiple settings. Torque vectoring on rear wheels makes it fun to drive around corners.

Yeah no thank you, I would still keep my 2017 f150 EcoBoost, has almost 160,000 mi and hasn't given me a serious issue. I can pull more than a Tacoma, get better fuel economy than a Tacoma, more spacious. Much more comfortable to drive. The bed is bigger. In what ways is Tacoma better? Probably keeping its value

I wouldn't mind having an older Ford Ranger with the manual transmission. Those 2.3 4 cylinders could last a long time if you kept the oil changed in them. They can't carry or tow what a full size truck can but most people are going to be pulling a 40,000 pound RV trailer. If I had one of those I would be going for the F-450 with the turbo diesel.

Yeah those old small trucks were all pretty solid. Ford, Nissan, Toyota, even the Chevy's weren't horrible. They were reasonable price and good for what they were. If you wanted to tow or haul something big obviously they weren't built for that.

I’m impressed with that Nissan Frontier even though I’ve always been in love with Toyota Tacoma’s. I noticed that @12:04 when you opened the door, the speaker on the door said, “Fender”?! Did you get a chance to check out the sound system? Now I’m beginning to second guess if I should trade in my 2023 Altima for a Frontier instead of going with a 4 Runner 🤔 My issue is I already have a 2012 Honda Pilot with 96k on it and it’s technically not my vehicle, it belongs to my “dogs” 😂 None of them have been in the Altima because well ya know it’s newer blah blah blah but I need to make a final decision in October when my lease is up and just want to purchase a good truck like this Frontier, or get my dream vehicle, a 4 Runner. I don’t like the idea of having 2 SUV’s unless I get rid of my Pilot. I don’t know what to do anymore Scotty. I’m torn and to be honest, if I could afford it, I’d just get rid of my Pilot and Altima for a Nissan GTR! That would never happen because my dogs need their own vehicle 😂

The GTR is prob most car enthusiasts dream machine…. Hope to own one one day too… my advice would be for you to get the frontier, not only is it solid, not overpriced , v6 engine, and everything Scotty said but it is more cargo friendly than an SUV… I believe the value of these Frontiers will increase bc Toyota is making mistakes

I'm on my third Frontier. They are great trucks! My current one is a '21 Frontier SV 4WD and the only one I bought new off the lot for 36k. I considered the Pro4X but I didn't want the sunroof and extra electronic stuff (more stuff to break, expensive to fix, lol). I LOVE my SV and it gets great gas mileage (over 30 mpg three times, now! Just put a bed cover on it and keep your foot out of the accelerator...lol). As of today, it has 18, 347 miles on it and I haven't had a single issue with it. The new body style ('22) was available, but I went with the old body style '21 with the upgraded engine and 9 speed tranny because I figured if I ever need body parts, there will be plenty of them in the junk yards. Besides, 2020 and 2021 are the only two years that have the old body style with the new engine and 9-speed tranny. That makes them unique. Haha! Oh, btw...they drive like a car with the highway tires they come with. If you put some AT tires on them, they feel more like a truck (and corner even better, IMO).

5:50 Fact Check: As a man who has lived on Guam pretty much all his life (since 1990), I can tell you, we don't make car batteries here. We don't have the raw materials, we don't import said raw materials or components to make such batteries. We import over 90% of what we use in our day-to-day lives and export next to nothing. If you take another look at the battery in question, you might notice Guam is just one of 5 places that particular model of battery was distributed from, and it seems it was made by a company called "Clarios", a rather Mexican sounding company name that I have never heard of before. I recognize the name of the company that has the Guam distribution rights, Atkins Kroll, the dealership that carries Toyota. Note that there are 4 companies in locations noted to be distributors of that battery, the others are in Plano Texas, Honolulu Hawaii, San Juan Puerto Rico, Pago Pago and American Samoa.

@@johnnorvaisas Right they have lasted over 300.000 miles for me without issues, I own four Vehicles Now only one 2liter with chains, the rest are belt driven But I did always change the oil at 4-5000 miles, I don't think people change oil enough in Modern engines across the board, Also some people could destroy a crowbar in a pile of feathers imo, Yes that's alot of oil changes a little over 60 oil changes, I bought the first one at 60 some thousand miles the other over 114.000 miles Now for the 1.7liter single cam Honda's I run with belt driven cams, I don't try running them over 100.000 miles along with the water pump and idlers, 💩 this is a different Video post I was talking about 2003 1.3liter 5 speed manual cars I ran too 300.000 miles without any large issues O engine problems, Only problem is not enough torque when the Nickel Metal hydride batteries got over 200.000 miles on them and about 8 years of time.
