Wait, does 2-Staged Combo reload your gauge? So I don't have to switch to the other scroll with Charger to reload it without staying still?

@@Kaiser27605 Yes, although it only reloads ~half of what switch charger does, it also increases the charge meter by a lot if you land the hits. Combine it with Wild Swing and you'll charge your swaxe and fill up the gauge at the same time.

I will honestly say I am glad they changed the gimmick from the clutch claw, was not a huge fan of it and think the wire bugs and switch skills have a much better and more fleshed out feel to them. Can't wait what the next game will have as it's gimmick.

@@arthum6351 i think they should make silk skill for switch axe like clutch claw so player can zsd when ever they want instead of wherever available. like monster's tail that is too high for normal zsd.

@@ha-itsme would be neat but with how often normal monsters get flinched in Rise would be kinda not necessary, just time your attacks and get it off just before a monster gets up. Just how I do it in World atm learning the switch axe there. Both games are diffrent and while World has a huge emphasis on timing and positioning, Rise has a huge emphasis on movement, speed and counters. And that emphasis has been shown even more so by the surprise update and Primordial Malzeno. Still can't wait to see the gimmick and style of the next full(not the mobile phone one) monster hunter game.

@@GrimViridian I honestly will say Rise the first time I played it when the demo was available I did not feel the game. Even the simplest hunts in the demo were problematic for me but I was still playing Worl at the time so the old habits were still there. Once I actually got into Rise after it's full release it just clicked and I loved it. The combat felt really fluid and we got a lot of options to show off while hunting. Some hitboxes are questionable to say the least but it's still extremely fun to play.

If you still haven't figured it out, u have to make your switchaxe into amped state(your gauge will glow a blue hue), any discharge attack that connects to a monster automatically does a mount to specific parts you're attacking(head,leg,tail,wing etc)

It all depends on your playstyle. As a main I like to utilize both modes pretty equally, but I do favor the meatiness of the axe mode. I know for Worldborne, at least, what I consider the best method is moving in with some heavy axe hits, then morphing to sword mode once you've built up your element bar, charging a bit in sword mode, then popping off a couple ZSDs, morphing back to axe to avoid the animation lock of the forced morph, before rinsing and repeating. The big downswing on the wild swing mash is great at staggering and toppling.

For Rise the MV are much more in favor of sword mode, axe mode is only there when you aren't in sword mode if that makes sense. Axe just has mobility and it has great attacks that space you from the monster, sword is the complete opposite.

I use morph slash from sword to axe for movement more than anything then go back into sword. if a monsters down or vulnerable doing forward slash, morphslash, then o/b w.e. controller ur useing (ps5 o/Xbox b ) then morph slash for a double hit in axe mode that has a high motion value, then morph slash back to sword imeadiatly after and repeat it's a very high dps infinite combo. It's good to end with a zsd as a monsters getting back up. Hope that made sense.

Tbh idk what you mean. A tip is to give someone useful information. To tell someone the counter window is forgiving is a tip. The mention of quality of life from using evade extender is a tip. Explaining the right timing for the counter is a tip. Sure someone would say… well a counter is a counter sooo…. But what about the best timing for it? As someone just getting into rise and sunbreak these are all good tips for me. Maybe someone seasoned like you can’t see that because you’re well versed in the game. 🤷‍♂️

Rise was a switch exclusive for a good amount of time until it was eventually ported to PC and consoles World was made with PC and consoles in mind, so they wanted to take full advantage of it
