@@TechKnowBiz Doing A/B comparisons between the H95s and the Focal Bathys right now. Still leaning towards the H95s with softer high end at the expense of the low end and ample headroom of the Bathys. It's a tough call.

Hi good review I like you talk about volume levels I just returned my AirPods Max because not enough volume need at least 20 to 30% more! I ordered the momentum 4 hopefully they have more volume!! All other reviewers hardly ever mention volume levels!! Keep up the good work👍🙂

Thanks for the great presentation dude. I really appreciate it. I purchased them almost 2 years ago, I m very happy with them. For the people they returned it in some weeks after purchasing them I have to say that titanium drivers need some time to warm up. The clarity of them is wonderful and they are punchy enough- also accurate. My only problems are: 1. Clamp force. I get a headache after 3-4 hours of usage. 2. They sound a bit low. After researching found out that this a european rules of volume level. I also tried the sehnheisers mt4. Muddy and low volume level but they are more comfortable. B&w Px7 have the same low volume level and also maddy. So could someone suggest me an alternative which have the same or better clarity, a bit louder and comfortable?

Why not try the WH1000XM5 yes they are all plastic build but they are comfortable have great loud volume and are so comfortable from the earcups as they feel like two pillows in ur ears the headband can use some more padding but it's good not terrible the Sony connect app is amazing too

I use these daily and I love them so much. The sound is clean and dynamic and the build quality is just stunning. But its a lot of money and I really take care of them... I will throw my phone on a table but with these I check if the table is clean and then lay them down (thats why I can have nice things)

My daughter 15 year old daughter borrowed mine. She loves them so much I’ve not had them back. She basically rates them higher than my B&W PX7’s and anything else she’s tried. For her hearing they are head and shoulders above anything else she’s heard. Her preference for these blew me away as she can clearly describe the differences she is hearing like someone taught her how! Makes me wish I had another youth to live.

Great comments, you are the only one that mentioned the fact that the 3.5mm cable won't work passively, it requires the battery. Do you happen to know if the Beoplay H9 do work passively? and any headphone that have the ability to change the battery when it dies? Thank you.

I have a discount for the B&O HX, I can grab them for 239€ (255$ more or less). Should I do it? My only concern is if I can use the for like an hour straight without having heating or compression on my hears… I had a terrible experience with Beats Studio… Great video BTW :)

The Beoplay HX are great. And for that price they would be a steal. I had the HX a long time ago and I remember having no problems with the ear-cups overheating. On warm weather it does get swety, but so will every other over ear headphones. So I think you can go for it :)

I tried these out at a b&o store. The best thing about them was the noise cancelation. The sound was just as good as any other premium headphone I've used. I'm sad to say I wouldn't buy them. 😢 Oh I also tried their $50,000 beolab 50 .. sounded... Good. Was hoping to be mind blown but i just simply wasn't. I thought that their beosound A5s sounded the best out of all the stuff at least for the money. If I was going to buy one it would be that. Disappointment all around though.

I saw that you used the H95 and Focals, so how do the MW75 hold up to you? I’m having a hard time deciding between these three. I already use AirPod Max.

@@techdathoward I ended up sticking with MW75. I love the sound quality of MW75 the best..some cons are...the ear cups are slightly on the smaller side but comfortable. In my case the leather band at the top peeled off even with minor use. I think it's a one off incident as I don't see others report this as a widespread issue

I have the Sony XM5, Skullcandy Evo and the H95 and I love the sound quality. Sony can't come close but I'm interested in the Focal Bathys. Flossy Carter said the opposite. That the H95 have better sound quality than the Focal Bathys and so did DHRME.

I was going to tackle this topic on my future video. but since you asked, let me briefly explain. Over bluetooth, H95 is an overall better sounding headphone than the Bathys. They are more accurate and more neutral. But the Bathys has a DAC mode that can enhance its sound quality by increasing its fidelity. The volume level goes up, bass gets deeper and treble becomes richer.

I owned both Bathys and H95. I did an extensive hearing test (I am not an audiophile or a pro. just a regular music lover). I can tell you that over Bluetooth, H95 has excellent sound quality but the connectivity issues make the experience inconsistent. You can take my word for it. If the Bluetooth connection is working well then H95 sounds a little bit better over Bluetooth (not a lot though. we are talking about too tiny a difference) but Bathys is very reliable. Bathys recommends a 25 to 40 hrs break-in period. I have crossed that burn-in period and man let me tell you that even Bluetooth Bathys is way better than H95. On DAC - it's game over for all other headphones. If I were you, I will simply go for Focal Bathys. Trust me, this is based on an extended period of testing H95 and Focal Bathys side by side.

I need your help. I currently use the Sony XM5's and the comfort is fantastic for larger heads and I can wear it for hours. I recently purchased the PX8 and tested the Focal Bathys, and both headbands press hard against the top of my head, the PX8 to a lesser extent. This is because the headband for both headphones are much shorter in length. How do the H95's compare in comfort? Is the headband length similar in size to the XM5's, or closer to the PX8/Bathys? I'm on a quest to purchase high-end Bluetooth headphones and cannot for the life of me find something as comfortable as the XM5's due to my larger head.

Xm5 is by far the most comfortable headphone in the market. However, as a XM5 user for around a year, I cannot tolerate the lack of clarity in sound quality, so I have decided to switch to H95, which is by far the best ANC headphone I’ve ever tried.

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 does not have multi point meaning auto switch from laptop to call by it self. Compared to Sony WH-1000XM5 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra. H95 use old bluetooth 5.1. How does Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 compare with Sony WH-1000XM5 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra?

I had the B&O HX and returned them. Amazon had them on sale for $349 and you simply can't get that luxury at that price, so it wasn't easy to return. Here's why I returned them, could you tell me how the H95 does? 1) Sound - I like the overall B&O Sound signature and clarity, but the sounstage is narrow and the bass wasn't controled enough to the point it could distort with some songs (I know these issues weren't specific to my pair because I saw other users reporting them and in fact B&O put out firmware updates for bass distortion for BOTH the HX and H95). 2) While very comfortable the pads are round and smallish leading to a not very good seal (poor passive isolation) and easy slippage when leaning back. Also, weirdly, there was somewhat of an "occlusion effect" that thumping when walkinh around my house that I only previously experienced on in ears. 3) The touch controls on the HX are terrible! The volume and ANC dials on the H95 are very exciting, how are the touch controls though? 4) While the overall phone call experience on the HX was pretty good, the mics are pretty mediocre as compared to the Technics A800 or Momentum 4's. In short, for the HX they provided the leather and aluminum, but it seems they cut a lot of other corners - is the H95 everything the HX is missing?

Yes you are right. They are the highest standard and as per the offical website of BnO, the H95 also they support APTX Adaptive. The issue that I had was with my Android phone it never worked on the APTX Adaptive codec. Which was weird. So I just thought they do not support it. So I guess I will have to take their word for it.

I am not sure your assessment on the codec is correct. These use aptX Adaptive and are backwards compatible with aptX HD. If you have a good quality phone with Qualcomm hardware, you won't have any issues. Its perfectly fine for gaming but lacks aptXLow Latency. (80ms for aptX Adaptive vs 40ms aptX Low Latency). If you want the best sound quality, get a DAC like the THX Onyx. You will be wired and get great bass out of any headphones, especially B&O imo if you have an option to manage the EQ.

@@ckdav1 Have had them already for 6 months. The built material is excellent. The sound stage? Sometimes I get scared thinking it's a sound behind me when it's just just the soundstage when watching movies/KZfaq. The active noise cancellation is average though. I'll see when I buy new ear cushions if that improves. The transparency mode is good. Music is even better when I can let in all the outside noise in while taking a walk outside. The software and app are average. In general I like them. Would buy a second pair at that price instantly. I can use them them all day and night (playing rain sounds while asleep) and I feel no discomfort.

What are y’all hearing in the h95? Am I missing something? They sound quiet, muted, and slightly muffled. Is there a burn in or something? Cuz the beoplay ex buds sound a lot better.

I bought it and had it for 3 weeks but returned it and purchased a Focal Bathys. Good: 1. Build Materials, and less weight considering the premium build materials 2. High-quality accessories (wires, airline adapter, and carrying case) 3. Rotating control for volume and ANC control 4. Sound quality 5. Ergonomics (folding style) Bad: 1. Bluetooth multi-point connection was so spotty, glitchy, and unreliable - THIS IS VERY BAD. THIS IS THE MAIN REASON I RETURNED THIS. 2. Occasional static noise (when on ANC and silent you can hear some mild screeching here and there) 3. Volume level is too low 4. For the price, the app should have more features (including the ability to see all the connected devices and auto-pause, etc.) 5.Extremely impractical carrying case. Yeah it's aluminum and high quality and fancy and all but it's very impractical as a traveling case. FINALLY, THOSE OF YOU WHO WEAR GLASSES. GET FOCAL BATHYS. H95 IS LIGHTER BUT FOR SOME REASON IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE IF YOU WEAR GLASSES.

Fantastic catch regarding the discomfort for people who wears glass. The reason is that the H95 exert 0.4lbs of clamping force more than the Bathys.

If you have a big head… it starts to hurt after 1-2 hours. Also the ANC compared to the wx5 is pretty weak. Not worth the money, invest into cables with preamp and buy real headphones. The Sony wx5 and the AirPods Max are the best in terms of ANC and Bluetooth.

Your second reason not to buy, unfortunately, is based on incorrect information. 1. They do support aptX Adaptive for hires audio; and 2. They are certified for fast pairing with Apple, Google and Microsoft.

you are very lucky to have found a pair that cheap. Even after 2 years of release they have not gone down in price in Australia. So even second hand is also very expensive
