The review I waited for. Thanks! :) I expected better SQ from the H95, but I haven't heard them myself. If they are bassy like the PX8, I pass. I pretty much liked the Bathys. The 5909 were a bit too bright, but clarity, timbre and sound stage were quite realistic. The T+A Solitaire T might be also interesting, but the price is much steeper.

Good question. I have never heard the solitare and I don't particularly like the way it looks. I think it may sound quite similar to the 5909 but a little brighter. Finally I don't think it's worth 1200. For all of those reasons, I gave it a miss

As an H95 owner, I will say they're pretty damn good headphones. I listen primarily through Apple Music over bluetooth and found that, with a really well-mastered album (i.e. Kaya by Bob Marley) these really can shine quite brilliantly.

I listen to all genres of music like NIN, Metallica, Nirvana sone ol school rap and house. Do u listen to any of that music with thr BO H95. Also what bout the bass like he said is it that drowning where u cant hear the vocals and stuff?. I heard these headphones were awesome
@danielmolina2673
@danielmolina2673 Жыл бұрын
@@mrguru091 The best way I can describe it is that if it was mastered/mixed well, it'll sound incredible on the H95s, and that applies across all genres. Some old school rap (i.e. biggie) sounds great while others (i.e. wu tang) sound not as great. Some rock sounds awesome and others not so awesome, but it's because with the H95 you can really tell who had their music mastered/mixed well and who didn't lol. As for the bass, I disagree completely with Opaz. This is the most controlled bass I've ever heard in a headphone, but I also didn't try the 5909s so until I do, these will remain my favorite pair of headphones. Bass quality on these is a solid 9.5/10 in my opinion.

@@danielmolina2673 ok great lol is it worth the price to buy one of then or go with sonething cheaper like the momentum 4s or bowers and wilking PX7S2s?. Not cheap but it gotta be Hella better to spend that kind of $$. I was gonna go this weekend to the bang and olefsun store in Manhattan to demo one. They said they will give me a discount if I buy a display but who knows if the people demoing it didn't mess them up. I'll see
@danielmolina2673

@@mrguru091 I would say it's worth the price. Haven't tried the momentum 4s or PX7s but I have owned lower-tier B&O headphones like the H8i (which once upon a time were my favorite headphones) and these blow them out of the water. The clarity and balance across genres is the best I've heard in a headphone. What I will say is that they don't sound immensely mind-blowing at first, but once you've listened to them for a while and then switch to another pair of headphones it's almost like watching a movie in 1080p in 2008 again - passable, sure, but just doesn't compare to 4k. If the discount is worth it and they're in good shape, I'd say go for it. I've used mine for an average of about 4-6 hours daily during the week for over a year now and they still sound incredible. I still love reaching for them literally every time, they haven't disappointed me yet.

Which is the BestBluetooth Wireless Headphones out of this batch for HipHop and Reggae music genres? 1)Mark Levinson No. 5909 2)EDIFIER STAX SPIRIT S3 3)FOCAL - Bathy’s Headphones 4)Bowers and Wilkins PX8

Are you a general listener or would you consider yourself an audiophile? I have never listened to the S3 option listed If audiophile, 5909 is the best performer If a general listener I would suggest the model listed that is the cheapest, has the best app & the best EQ adjustments/presets. Might not be what you want to hear but that is how it is. So many of the other headphones either don't have good bluetooth codecs or will drown your ears in bass. They sound so similar and a brand name alone will determine how light your pockets will be after purchase Although your preference is hip-hop & reggae, bass heavy headphones will ruin the true recordings. A more true sounding headphone will result in a clearer better less fatiguing performance The best is THE BEST for many reasons and will tackle all genres extremely well and better than the rest. If you get a chance, demo them all. You are your own expert for sound, comfort, fit, app user interface and budget

Rod, I had a Samsung Galaxy S10 when I bought my 5909's & my Bathys. The 5909 sounded incredible on the S10 but now I have recently bought the Galaxy S23 Ultra and it sounds even better Yes, sticking to android for the 5909 you will be able to take advantage of LDAC. If you don't want to shell out on a flagship smartphone, the much more affordable S10 will give great results with its LDAC & wired performance I do not use apple smartphones so unfortunately cannot comment on their audio performance Hope this helps

Don't get an Apple phone unless you're primarily using Apple audio devices. Android is the only operating system that allows for hi-res audio codecs. AAC is pretty much the highest wireless connection you'll get. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, Xiaomi MI 12 Ultra, and Pixel 7 Pro offer various APT-X codecs as well as LDAC (though it's bitrate is better on S23 and Xiaomi than on the Pixel). The Sony Xperia 1 IV arguably has the best audio features but unfortunately the total cost of the phone is pretty much out of pocket. I would say those are your best bets for the best audio

I don’t get along well with the touch controls. The earlier model I had, had this on-head detection to auto pause. On those headphones that feature never worked reliable for me. I have used the on head detection maybe 6 times in nearly 2 years on the 5909. I did experiment with it one day whilst walking and found it more sensitive to detection if you applied detection on as soon as you put them on your head. With detection applied on after you had the headphones on for a short while it operated as it should. Might be best to demo them in store

@OPAZ everyone has different options. But rting reviewed the Bathys and for bass accuracy, it scored a 9.6 which is excellent. "The bass accuracy is outstanding. The range is very flat and neutral, resulting in accurate thump, punch, and boom. Songs with a rumbly bassline, like 2020 by SUUNS, sound full-bodied and warm" Mid accuracy scored a 7.4. "These headphones have decent mid accuracy. The low-mid is pretty flat and neutral, which ensures that vocals and instruments are present. The mid to high-mid are underemphasized, pushing vocals and instruments to the back of the mix and weakening them" Treble accuracy scored a 5.5. "The Focal Bathys' treble accuracy is sub-par. The whole range is underemphasized, veiling vocals and instruments and hurting their detail. Sibilants like S and T sounds are also dull" This tells me they have awesome bass but the rest of the range is not as good as it could be. Curious as to what you think? Quotes are from the review.

For me, the PX8 beats Bathys and 5909 in musicality. If bass is overwhelming, it can be tweaked with the B&W app. I would like to hear an H95, which is the one in this video that I haven't tried.

Returning my H95's - very heavy and uncomfortable. Atrocious app, volume limitations, and very mediocre sound. Way overhyped and not worth $200 much less $800.

If the H95 is heavy for you, then the others in this video would feel like boulder on your head. If you like a loudspeaker-like sound, maybe Momentum 4 will be better fit for you, at only 290g.
