I should add that Halfords has an experienced product development team. And unlike the other brands, they cut out the mid level distribution because Halfords is direct from manufacturer to the consumer. These two significant elements (price and design as mentioned in the vid) are why VooDoo has been so successful in the UK.

Got mine at the start of 2020 and it has been tremendous as an intro to MTB and has taken everything I have thrown at it across Cannock and Dalby so far. Bang for buck is superb and thanks to people like you for switching me on to it. Next stop, dropper post. 👍

I have a 2016 Bizango which has now done nearly 5000 miles, majority off road, still going strong. Obviously I have upgraded quite a few parts, the cranks and BB are probably the weakest link. Also upgraded to 25mm riser bars, shorter stem, SLX cranks and BB, Maxxis DHF and SS tubeless, Fabric seat, better grips. Halford bikes get a terrible rap, but like any bike used off road they need maintenance and parts replaced, which many novice riders just don't seem to realise and then blame the bike when it fails.

Yeah I completely agree. Mine is doing well after 2 years of hard use on all different types of terrain. With a bit of maintenance and a few upgrades she's still a good un!

Reasons I bought the bizango. Having not been on a bike in 20 years + everything I knew was useless. So off to KZfaq, google and the like. This bike won awards year after year from MBR in the price range I want to spend. If I wanted to progress the bike would progress with me (upgrades) And it wasn’t too out there in its spec that I couldn’t work on it when something went wrong.

Just bought the Voodoo Horde which, after the price hikes, is their £650 range model. Very excited to get it out and start mountain biking. Apparently it shares a lot with the Bizango which everyone raves about so can't wait. It will be updating a 20+ yr old Raleigh so i'm sure i won't even know myself on it!

29er with a hardtail, it rolls over most stuff and is lighter than a full suspension, I bought a 2012 frame and added updated parts to that.

Does anyone know if Voodoo is selling any frames in the US? I ordered a Zocalo off their website, it showed it in stock and I was able to complete it through Pay-pal. But I have been unable to reach them at their phone or email. Any information would be appreciated.

I have the Calibre's Two Cubed that was in MBR and it's a great bike. Stuck a dropper post in it (thanks for that video btw), new peddles and some grips and it works great for me. Ride a lot at Cannock Chase and in the Peak so it takes a beating. The only down side it's not a 1x system and for the cost I can't see it's worth controverting. The next upgrade will be a full suspension.

Nice work, sounds like you have a decent set up. I like the 1x drive trains. It definitely cuts down on faff and maintenance, but it is not essential. The main thing is the dropper post (glad you liked the video). They are worth their weight in gold in my opinion.

You can convert to a one by without spending a fortune as long as you can replace the chainring, you don't have to increase the gear range or ratio. Just replace the chainrings preferably nowadays for a single narrow wide, and remove the front derailleur and trigger. It's what I did about 18 years ago before other people started doing it.

I have a voodoo hoodoo and its going good do you have to change the tyres to go tubeless or no

The newer versions of the Maxis Ardent are tubeless ready. Apparently there is an older version of the Ardent that is not. If you are not sure which one you have, best to check with a bike shop.

Is it still on sale right now in february 2021? And may I ask what maximum speed u are able to cruise at in top gear before your legs r pedaling free and useless, I ask this because i see the 1x drive train which I absolutely love. Annnnnd im an older chap wanting to upgrade to the more able cycles.. honestly, I'm finding the 29ers a bit too big for me to pop my usual wheelies on and be a hooligan with on the streets.. I feel I might fall off; question: can the bizango be converted to a 27.5, please? Thanks so much for any info you've gathered on my questions :)

They are definitely still selling the Bizango in 2021. Although just like all bikes at the moment you may have to pre order. As for the top speed and conversion to a 27.5, these are things that I have not tried...yet. I use my bike on trails so am never peddling full pelt in top gear. Although the video idea had crossed my mind. These might be a question to ask Voodoo
