Great vid . The trail you came off on is pretty steep to be fair . Great fun though . The trail straight after I haven’t ridden (yet) but it’s in my list now for sure👍

Do you have a strava route or gpx i could look at to get bearings of where the trails are?
@bikeandbeyond2 күн бұрын
Hi Scott, unfortunately I don’t think I do. I usually forget to start my Strava. Quite a few of the trails were really easy to find (off the main fire roads etc) but we ended up riding all over the place. There are plenty there to explore. Might be worth checking out Trailforks or something for a bit of an idea where to search.

Wow ! I have the same story as you, even though I have one less joint in my foot (very bad motorcycle accident in 2017). I looked for information and there are very few testimonials like yours. Very nice video, I will subscribe and watch it all :) Greetings from France.

I used to ride Llandegla before the trail centre opened, it’s great to see how the trail centre has developed over the years, it’s all down to the staff at Coed Llandegla, enjoy the trails, I now live in Australia and we are 20 years behind the uk!

Another cracking video 👍. How about doing one on trail etiquette? Yet again this weekend I was barrelling down a trail only to have two riders pushing their bikes back up it! Keep up the good work 👌

Yeah that’s not a bad idea. That sort of thing happens quite a lot.

Maintenance - the only work they've done in the last 3 years has been to add rollers to the top of the jumps on the bridge line. All that's done is made them worse, and impossible to ride. The owners only care about the cafe now, and even that's not great. Some of the food reviews are horrendous. The knuckles on all the tables on the red trail are just ridiculously daft too. Totally unneccessary. The place has huge potential, they just need a couple of people with strimmers and shovels, and maybe a week of spare time over the course of a year.

Your new garage looks like it needs a nice old classic car. Like an MGB GT. It'll be fun to drive it to trail centres and they are surprisingly roomy inside too.

Where is this trail
@beforethenever9722 күн бұрын
Sherwood Pines is a major disappointment considering how popular it seems. The place is packed full of fun activities for families and offers a good setting for leisurely rides. But the blue and red bike trails offer very little reward for the effort that goes into getting round them.
@bikeandbeyond22 күн бұрын
Yeah the trails should both be graded as a light blue. There is nothing challenging on the red.
@Wilko-ig7el23 күн бұрын
I prefer the blue trail and a load of runs on the downhill park halfway around. it's way better than the red, which is just boring, unfortunately

I finally bought a second hand standard 2022 bizango for only £300 and I love it! It only needs a bit of maintenance like a new chain and brakes bleeding and it will be perfect, thanks for the recommendation! Funnily enough i think ill be going to sherwood pines to get my girlfriend into biking as I've given her my old gaint atx and it should be easy enough to let her gain confidence, then ill probably give the Northampton park a go. But i need to find a more local area around oxford/Carterton but not had any luck finding any😢 any that you recommend?
@bikeandbeyond22 күн бұрын
I’ve not really ridden around the Oxford area so I can’t think of anywhere off hand. Have you had a look at the trail forks map to find a few places?

The improvements they have made are great! Lets get as many of them on the rest of the trail as we possibly can. Do you know how people can get involved in the voulenteer days?
@TheBaggyT24 күн бұрын
Man, they've destroyed that area with all the felling. That used to be my back yard, but all the trails were in forest. Now it's just tree stumps. So sad. No wonder the Visitor's Centre isn't making any money and has closed.

Hi there. My local is sherwood. They have made more improvements but only on the existing tracks. But they are good. You mentioned how expensive it is to park. Why not get an annual past. Whether it is for local or for extra 30 pounds it would cover all of the forestry England. I must of saved nearly 500 pounds last year on parking fees. 😎👌

@bikeandbeyond26 күн бұрын
Yeah for what the trails are it’s really expensive. If you are traveling to get there you are better off going somewhere good. You pays more in travel but less in parking.

This is quite a fair review, but it does seem you missed half of the red trail which includes the only good board there. board number 16. If the entire red route was like board 16 it would be a much different experience.

Biggest threat to the trails here are the strava d1cks digging out and cutting corners. Its a beginner trail as it is its not like they are avoiding tech or jumps cos there isnt any

Is this a good brand for the dropper post Satori Sorata Pro Dropper Post 31.6mm x 485mm x 150mm ? I’m considering to buy this bike from Halfords and they offered to me this additional upgrade.
@bikeandbeyondАй бұрын
I’ve not heard of the brand before, but I definitely recommend getting a dropper.

Why are you riding over the moor and not always sticking to the bridleway. This sets a really bad example to other users and is against the countryside code!!! Stop ruining the beautiful moor!!
