That model is gorgeous! Love the images. Something special with fixed length lenses. Thank you!

I'm ALL in love with the model! 😍 I just bought the 24mm GM lens, I also have the 35mm (which is my favourite FL) I was not sure how to use this wide lens to portraits. Now I have some ideas. Thanks for sharing. 😊

I was wondering if I should buy the 12mm F2 for my Olympus Micro 4/3rd camera to get this 24mm look. I already own a 12-40 f2.8 lens but I really like how much separation I would get if I had a bigger aperture. This is a good example video. Thank you.

I dont think you should get the Olympus 12mm for the separation alone as it's not going to give much of that. It is compact and a good lens if you like the focal length sure .

Hello and thank you very much for this Video and these beautiful Photos! I thought there would be more deformations for Portraits at 24 mm, but obviously it seems to me that there are none or very few, no ??? I have a Canon RP and the Canon RF 50 f1.8 stm for Portraits, and I'm thinking of buying the new Canon RF 24 mm f1.8 Macro stm for Landscapes, but then I might be able to do Portraits with it this 24 mm also what do you think ? Thank you in advance for your answers, Sincerely, Philgood...

Personally I would recommend to take a look at 35mm, i feel like it looks more natural than 50mm (I personally don't like to work with 50mm but it's just personal taste) in my bag for portraits I have a 35mm and a 85mm I use the 35mm even for closeups and really like the look and the 85mm for a couple of other shots especially for blurry background. The 35mm (full frame) is also the same look like the Fujifilm x100v, i would say currently many people love this style. 24mm can look amazing but it's definitely more difficult to use and for me it's a bit too much distortion. I just thought I'll reply to this comment since it's been sitting for 10 months. Just take a look at some portraits for 35mm and see if you like the style (maybe it's too much zoom for landscape but I'm not a landscape photographer so I can't tell)

Pfff risky with 24mm for shooting models if you don’t have an interesting background/surrounding. I would have picked the 35mm just for some safety.

You can minimize risk by scouting the location beforehand.

@@VengefulMaG3 Yes but it's sadly not always possible to go to a location before the shoot. I personally love the look of 35mm but it always depends on your personal style and preference

Read definition of the word "portrait". There's not a single portrait in this video

For the obnoxious setup with the huge flash, assistant, and the expensive camera gear the photos are pretty underwhelming and boring.

por·trait - /ˈpôrtrət/ - A painting, drawing, photograph, or engraving of a person, especially one depicting only the face or head and shoulders. Can we agree full body shots do not constitute portraits?

I would disagree, yes you are right but meaning of words can change over the years. Many words in the past slowly changed their meaning and I don't know a single photographer that would call this something else than portrait, you are completely right with the definition but it think the meaning in today's time is not very strictly defined by society of you know what I mean. By the way what would this be called? Honestly have no idea. I once heard the term people photography but it doesn't sound very good.

Portrait in photography means capturing people who are modeling for the photographer. These are definitely portraits don't be a smart ass 🤣 What else are these? Landscapes? Wildlife?
