This looks so ideal for the big quilt I’m working on. I’m working with a big hoop and it’s unwieldy and ineffective. I’ve been interested in getting a frame. What brand is this one? Can you show the rest of the rolling process and how you roll as you are done with sections?

Basically, you open the gears that hold the two back bars tight, and roll on to the front bar. Once you have the quilt rolled to the next section that needs quilted, you fasten the front gear, then wind the back ones tight and fasten. My dad actually built this frame for me and I recorded the instructions for other quilters who purchased the frame he built. If you’re in Utah, I can give you his number to order a custom frame.

@@jenniferfloyd3180 that is fantastic! Gosh, I am not in Utah, and I’m sure shipping would be very expensive. If he has written construction plans and wants to sell me a copy of the plans for me to build, I’d consider that!

Like you my quilts aren't perfect. My question is do you pull on the sides to make the quilt tighter.

Sometimes. I find that often makes the quilt too tight to hand quilt if I pull on the sides too much. But I always use the side stretchers to straighten and tighten a little.
