As a Dane we have Danish planes (Atlantic Airways) going directly down from Cph. to our own - Danish Planned and Built Town in Mellieha, and also Calls in Danish in the Airport, when leaving again! As now Pensioners we have been down to Malta for up to 7 weeks, 10 times during the later years! But my dear wife, as we are both now 76, and she is Handicapped, doesn't dare to go down anymore, as we lately saw what problems we would have, if anything happened to one of us! A close friend became seriously ill during our visit in January and became followed back by a Doctor with oxygen in the plane home, before he died in a Hospital. I managed to get the Medicine he needed during a longer ride all over the Island in a Taxi before that, but sadly it wasn't enough! But Thank You to you all for many nice experiences! I remember the old Luqa airport from the 1980s, where they picked you up from the plane in one of those funny trailers hooked on to a sort of tractor. Everyone had already been hit by the first assault of very hot July air after the airconditioned plane, and were then packed into the sweat-box trailer bus. We called it the Maltese sauna. But it was all part of the adventure. Coming from rainy London to a beautiful sunny island. In the new airport, you might think you had landed back at Gatwick, or anywhere else in the world. Steve might be about to tell me that I'm a moaning old relic who doesn't appreciate the benefits of progress. If he does, he's right, of course. But we ancient old crocks should be allowed to enjoy a bit of nostalgia for times when places had much more distinctive local character. Thanks for another great one Steve. I'm only 8 minutes in to it. So I'll shut up now and let you get on with it.

Steve the only time I went abroad was to Sicily and I am very unfamiliar with the airport surroundings but I enjoyed watching the atmosphere of people who are arriving from other countries and also those who are departing. Steve lately l have had some personal problems besides everyone in my family has been ill with flu.l am still sick and as l am quietly alone l am watching some of your videos on the big screen.l also enjoyed watching the last frontier you are showing us a positive side of Malta. There is still some country in Malta and as for the building it is also necessary because everyone has got to have a place to live in. The drawback in Malta is that it is a small country and there is not much more land to take away from. So that's why like in other countries after all the buildings are getting higher and the houses are being replaced by apartments. How much are the local minibuses nowadays? I can remember going there about 15 years ago and there were minibuses offering €5 drop offs anywhere on the island.
